Dawson's Retreat Spacious top floor studio

You’ll love all the attention to detail at Dawson's Retreat. Guests have the top floor of the house, a king size bed with memory foam mattress, seating space, compact en-suite shower room, breakfast bar, complimentary teas and coffee. You have your own separate breakfast prep lobby area with beautiful views over open countryside. Comprehensive Continental breakfast is offered if requested the night before. There is a small charge of £6pp. The space A lovely rural location, only 8 miles SW of York and minutes from Tadcaster and Boston Spa. Excellent links to Leeds, York and Harrogate. Also convenient for popular local wedding venues of Hornington Manor, Hazlewood Castle, Woolas Barn, The Normans. And a perfect place for a get away to explore the Dales, Moors or Coast or a business trip. There is a bus service to York every 2 hours from 8a.m Local Taxis in Tadcaster and York. We can also be flexible in arrangements to suit your plans. Please do have a chat. We own 2 very friendly cats, Goose and Maverick. They are not permitted in the guest studio. Guest access Access is through the front door to the house, leading to the hall and staircase to first floor. Your room is a through a safety fire door with lock, which accesses your lobby breakfast prep area. Your private staircase leads to the second floor and your accommodation. Your guest space is completely self contained. You will be provided with a spare key so that you may come and go to suit your plans but please be courteous and discuss the potential of a late return. You will be very welcome to sit in the shared space of the garden. During your stay I am contactable either by mobile or through the Airbnb App, but often my husband Stuart or I am about the property as we are both now retired. We are happy to help with suggestions of where to go and what to see in the area. Other things to note We have 2 very friendly cats, They are not permitted access to your studio space. This attic studio has some low beams of which guests should take care. There is space for a travel cot, which can be provided. Please be aware that a railway line runs behind our home, however the noise impact is fleeting. Any rail enthusiasts may have sighting of special steam trains that run at holidays times and occasionally classic locomotives travel the line.
