Although the annexe shares an entrance hall with our cottage, it is then completely private, with its own (lockable) door, allowing you to enjoy your stay in peace. The space includes a thoughtfully furnished double bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed, an en-suite shower room, and a small kitchenette equipped with fridge, toaster, tea and coffee making facilities, crockery, and cutlery. N.B... There are no cooking or re-heating facilities, but plenty of space to put breakfast together, prepare your own light meals, or plate up take-aways. Two cushioned armchairs and a table in the bedroom area provide a cosy place to eat or relax with a book. There's a Smart TV, and underfloor heating in both the bedroom and the bathroom for colder months. Every detail has been carefully chosen, from the high-quality fittings and artwork to the soft, natural colour palette, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.... the kind of place we hope to find ourselves, when we’re on our travels. We provide a welcome pack of delicious, wholesome breakfast foods (homemade sourdough, marmalade, jam, granola, muesli, yoghurt) along with tea, coffee and fresh milk/plant drinks for you to enjoy during your stay. Also, use of our utility room to wash your dishes. On sunny mornings you might like to enjoy breakfast or a cuppa on the bench outside the annexe - or (by arrangement) to wander up to our wildlife garden with your coffee and spend time with the birds, butterflies, and bees. Just a stone's throw from Minions, Golitha Falls, and Siblyback Lake, we are surrounded by beautiful footpaths, Cornish hedges, woodlands, wildflowers, rivers, and the spectacular landscapes and History of Bodmin Moor - whilst both the north and south Cornish coasts are also within easy reach. There are plenty of walks from the door, too, and maps of the local area so you won't get lost. All in all a perfect spot for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers alike. There are a couple of pubs and a well stocked farm shop & cafe within walking distance (around 1 mile) - and plenty of other eateries a little farther afield. Whether you're exploring Cornwall, or simply passing through, we hope you'll feel relaxed and at home when you come to stay. Rob or I will be here to welcome you on your arrival, hand over your keys, then leave you to enjoy your stay. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the annexe, which includes the double bedroom, en-suite shower room and refreshment area. The annexe is accessed via a shared entrance hall, where we will greet you on arrival… after which you'll have your own private space to enjoy throughout your stay. Outside, there's a sunny bench exclusively for your use, where you can relax with breakfast or a morning coffee. By arrangement, you're also welcome to spend some time in our garden, which we have created specifically for wildlife... and which is alive with birds, bees and butterflies. You'll also have access to our utility room (at the bottom of the steps to your annexe) where you can wash up your breakfast dishes and fill up your water bottles with filtered water. Other things to note Our village lies within a designated Dark Sky area, so there are no streetlights. On clear nights, the stars can be spectacular and the darkness is a real benefit for nocturnal wildlife.... but if you're arriving after dark, particularly on a moonless night, you may find it helpful to have a torch or your phone torch to hand. Please read 'parking' information, which I’ll send a couple of days before you arrive.
