One shop in the village, so bring a car. What you get back is a real Cypriot village and nights you can sleep through. The space The house Elaia Stone House sits on Christou Samara in the middle of Pachna. It is a stone build over two floors with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms, a living room, a separate dining room, a kitchen, and a large terrace. Outdoors The terrace is the best part of the house. There is room to eat outside properly rather than perch, a barbecue for the evenings, and the kind of quiet you only get in a village where everyone lives there year round. Sleeping Bedroom one: king bed Bedroom two: two single beds Bedroom three: one single bed Four beds in total, sleeping five. Getting upstairs The main staircase to the first floor is a spiral. It is steep and narrow, and it will not suit anyone with mobility problems or anyone carrying a small child. There is a second way up, an external stone staircase on the outside of the house, which is easier underfoot. Both work, so use whichever suits you. Take your time on either one at night. Inside Two full bathrooms. A kitchen set up for real cooking, a dining room, and a washing machine. There is a fireplace in the living room, which earns its keep from November onwards when the hills get cold. Air conditioning and internet Air conditioning in all three bedrooms and in the living room, with a remote on the wall bracket in each room. The internet is 5G mobile broadband rather than fibre. It handles streaming, video calls and general browsing. Signal strength varies a little with the weather, as it does anywhere in the hill villages. Parking Free parking at the house. The village Pachna is a working wine village, not a resort. People live here all year round and things wind down early. The nearest shop is M. Neokleous Supermarket in the village. For anything beyond that you will want a car, and a car is the only sensible way to reach the coast. We ask guests to keep noise down outside after 11pm out of respect for the neighbours. Finding us Set your map app to Pachna, postcode 4700, Limassol district. There is a second Christou Samara street in Limassol city about 30km away and some apps route to that one by mistake. THINGS TO NOTE The main staircase to the first floor is a spiral staircase. It is steep and narrow and will not suit guests with mobility difficulties, or anyone who needs to carry a small child up and down. There is a second route to the first floor: an external stone staircase on the outside of the house, which is easier underfoot. Both bedrooms upstairs can be reached either way. There is no lift, and the house has no step-free route to the first floor. Please get in touch before booking if you want to talk this through.
