This studio is tucked away in the middle of the 50 acres, looking up into the mountain ridges, surrounded by native floristry gardens, offering privacy and immersion into the Australian landscape. It is perfect for a couple wanting a quiet getaway surrounded by nature. Wake up to birdsong, stepping into the garden & into the wildlife corridores, meeting with the locals - Wallabies, Koala's, King Parrots, Glossie Black Cockatoos, quail, kookaburras, wedge tail eagles and many more, finish your day soaking in the beautiful Widgee Mountain Sunset while swinging gently in the hammock, enjoying a campfire under the quiet moonlit stary night, although at night time you will often hear the grunting of Koalas as they move about in the trees. The colonial windows ( with black out curtains) offer 360 degree views of the mountain, gardens, bushland creek line. A large studio room with a very comfortable queen bed, 3 seater lounge, a small dining tablw with 2 chairs, a third chair with a coffee table , verandah with outdoor table & chairs for mountain viewing, wildlife watching, stargazing or enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. Covered carport for parking or you can use as extra space Not only suits couples, solo travellers, writers, artist & anyone craving peace. Guests have exclusive access to entire studio, verandah, carport, hammock. There are no stairs to front verandah. screens on windows, large front entrance door, back door wit 2 stairs. OTHER THINGS TO NOTE This is an off-grid eco retreat studio, with shared Kitchen area, & shared toilets and hot water shower cleaned daily. The Kitchen has a beautiful drinking water ( spring water ) is 30 metres away from the studio, and shower & toilets are another 30 metres away from the studio, they are part of the camping area that is only used for when we have our 2 or 3 x yearly small private events . Our lighting is camping lights (Studio and Kitchen ) fairy lights in Toilets & Shower ) We have torches available ( although we sugguest byo torch), & the camping lights are portable. We are happy to set up a private chemical toilet tent for you if you prefer not to do the walk. Mobile reception varies, Telstra works well, other providers we can't guarantee that they have reception. WiFi is available around the campfire area & the Welcome Centre. We will give you the pw if you need to use it. Please bring appropriate footwear, hat & water for bushwalks, also ask us for suggestions of other places to venture out to.. Wildlife is abundant - expect birds, kangaroos, koalas & natural sounds. We are a retreat space so no excess loud partying please. Please leave cabin as tidy & clean as you arrived, wash up & put away dishes, clean stove, rubbish in bins provided. leave gates as you find them Check in after 2pm, check out by 10am Thank you 😊 Other things to note We can set up the campfire for you in out designated camfire area ( please do not set up your own fire ). In fire season at times there are fire bans, if so we won't be able to light a fire. If you are a smoker please do not smoke inside the studio. You will need a bottle with a lid to put your butts into ( we are happy to supply one if you do not have one, please ask us. . Please refrain from smoking while walking going for walks in the bush. Widgee is a higher bushfire risk place in summertime.
