Boutique retreat in a Grade II Listed cottage. Situated in St. Leonards-on-sea, between Hastings and the historic town of Battle, Little Turret is close to many historical sites and 15 minutes drive to the beach. Little Turret has been tastefully renovated to include modern appliances whilst retaining some original features. Two wood burners, original wood floors, Egyptian cotton linen and fluffy towels make Little Turret ideal for a luxurious break. 1 night stays introduced for some nights. The space Little Turret is part of the old farm buildings of the Beauport Home Farm, built in 1838. Situated above the now converted forge and cowshed and in a residential area made up of the rest of the old farm dwellings and more contemporary houses Little Turret has plenty of original unusual features. It has been tastefully decorated with a mixture of Farrow and Ball colours and William Morris wallpaper. Access is up the stone spiral staircase within the turret with an interesting dome ceiling which leads up to the main front door into the lounge. In the lounge you have a wood burner, TV, access to Netflix and Disney+, DVD player, choice of DVDs, board games, DAB radio and 2 sofas. The property has an ample dining room also with a wood burner and large dining table. On this floor there is also a cloakroom, a feature in itself. The fully equipped galley kitchen has a dishwasher, washer/drier, oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher and plenty of cooking utensils and crockery for at least 4 guests. The double bedroom is on this floor with luxury bedding and dressing table and drawers. Upstairs you will find the main bedroom with its exposed brick wall and far reaching views from the unusual round window to the English Channel on a clear day. This room has a king size Rococo bed with cotton bedding and feather duvet. Fluffy towels and individual soaps will be provided. There is hairdryer in the bedroom. The spacious bathroom has a roll top bath with a hand held shower attachment, ideal to relax in after a day at the beach or sightseeing. Outside guests have use of their own driveway with room for at least 2 cars and a pretty decked area with table and seating for 4. Guest access The cottage is completely self contained with its own entrance. The whole property is 3 floors and Little Turret takes up the 2 top floors. Hosts live nearby and will be on hand if necessary or leave guests to themselves. We are contactable by phone text or Email if there are any queries . Access is up a few paved steps followed by a stone spiral staircase inside the entrance. Other things to note We are now taking bookings for 1 night stays between Sunday night and Thursday. Little Turret is a non smoking property but smoking is permitted at the outside areas, either on the grassed area or at the decking seating area. We are sorry but no pets allowed.
