The John Apartment - Near the beach

LOCATION, LOCATION & LOCATION! Just repeating what our guests always say about our apartments! And this one does not stay behind. One more apartment 5 mins from Downtown for your convenience. This apartment is close to everything -we mean it!-, making it easy to plan your visit. Perfectly located, corner with John St. The space -Second floor apartment. No elevator. 2 flights of stairs. - Full bathroom with all the essentials you need (shampoo, conditioner, towels, body soap, toilet paper etc). -1 king size bed and a sofa bed. A/C, TV, Free Wi-fi. -Spacious Living room with sofa bed. -Full Kitchen (Microwave, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Stove, Refrigerator). -2 TVs in the entire place (1 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room). -Our place is right across the street from the restaurant *Pasta Beach* -1 mile to 1st Beach (Easton's Beach) -0.5 miles to the Wharfs in Downtown Lower Thames (Bannister's, Bowen's..) where you will find INCREDIBLE local restaurants such as The Mooring, The Red Parrot, 22 Bowen's, The Clarke Cooke House, The Black Pearl. -0.5 miles to Upper Thames where you will find Pubs, Bars, Arcades for kids, Ice Cream, Convenience stores and the list goes on.. -0.9 miles to the Visitor Center (where all the tour trolleys and buses depart from and side to side to the Perrotti's Park where the boats and ferry tour depart from). -1 mile to Newport Shipyard. PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH APARTMENT RENTAL. Repeating, one day is not enough! You will fall in love with Newport! Guest access You can get to most of the places (if not all) without your car. Everything is walking distance from our apartment. The neighborhood has restaurants, pharmacy, grocery store, cafes, souvenir stores, liquor stores, etc. PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH APARTMENT RENTAL. Summer season in Newport: Pay by plate parking and/or Paid public parking lots. We offer Paid Parking off premises: We have a deal with the gated private parking lot behind our building for $35 per night paid in advance. It's a small private parking lot, 1 spot for each apartment. The payment MUST be made before 3PM so we can confirm and provide instructions. Winter season in Newport: Free Parking (street and public parking). From Nov 1 to April 30. The streets are narrow and it's not a guaranteed spot. For a secure spot, we offer the $35/night year round. Please do not decide about parking last minute. Again, you can find free street parking. But we advise to pay for our private lot instead of paying for parking in another place as they will charge $120 for 16 hours (It happened with one of our guests at Bellevue Garden Shopping Center). **Please pay attention to parking details. We have had problems with guests that tell us they will send parking payment and do not send. After arriving at the apartment (sometimes late at night) they ask for parking remote/instructions without even paying upfront. We ask the guests to please plan ahead, reply to our messages as we also do that to help our guests have all the info before they arrive. Other things to note PARKING IS NOT INCLUDED WITH APARTMENT RENTAL. Quiet time after 11:00PM. Parties/Confetti strictly prohibited. Shared washer/dryer in the basement, operated by coin. ($2 to wash and $2 to dry, only accepts quarters). We do not provide laundry detergent. We have a maintenance and cleaning crew always ready if our guests need anything throughout their stay! Our service fee: $15.00 (plus post office price for handling) Easton's Beach, located on Memorial Boulevard at the start of the Cliff Walk, is a 3/4 mile long surf beach with a board walk. Come relax and play in our beautiful white sand ocean beach- surf the waves, ride our beautiful 1950's carousel, visit Save the Bay Exploration Center and Aquarium, or get married in a gorgeous beach front ceremony and celebrate in our newly refurbished ballroom. Rosie's Beach Store carries daily rentals of beach chairs, boogie boards and umbrellas during the peak summer season. They also carry some of those items you may have forgotten....sunscreen, towels, buckets and pails! Seasonal public facilities include restrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, shade pavilion, playground, skate park, picnic and grill area, bike racks, first aid, carousel, an elevator and beach wheel chairs for persons with disabilities, snack bar and 2 public parking lots.
