Description
Our family has put a lot of time & energy into renovating this charming 19th-century terraced house in Amble. Our love of art and books has made this home a very unique space. We have left the art and many of our books in situ for our guests to discover and enjoy during their stay. Amble is a small seaside town which has a rich fishing and mining heritage which has recently become a popular destination to explore the coast, castles and countryside of Northumberland. The space The living room is the centre of the house with contemporary art from South Korea, the North East and the Borders. There is also a large collection of books which cover topics from East Africa, art, history, agronomy and novels. The dining room features Ercol and G Plan furniture with cynotypes by my father. The kitchen is through the dining room it has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and small upright freezer. There is a back door to the small courtyard which has a table and chairs for four people. Upstairs you find the bathroom with bath and separate shower. Two bedrooms both with king-sized beds. There is a desk and chair on the landing which can be used as a study space. The whole house has an individual and contemporary feel. We have painted flooring throughout with a diverse collection of rugs in each room. We recommend you bring slippers. It is a warm house with a modern combi boiler running the gas central heating system.
