Welcome! Our 19th century cottage and home, recently converted and modernised to a high standard. Set in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales. Four miles from Ashbourne - gateway to The Peak District. Our home is a great place as a chilled-out country retreat, and as base for multiple outdoor sports and adventures in Derbyshire and The Peaks. We are 12 miles from JCB Golf Club, location for Liv Golf Tournament. All the charm of a cottage, with the benefits of a modern home - super-fast Wifi. The space Two of the bedrooms are relatively small as you might expect in a cottage, however we’ve provided open hanging space (bedroom 2), under-bed drawers (room 3) and shared closet space in the master. Please accept this limitation of the cottage however. Thank you. Guest access Access to all areas of the cottage, other than office space. Worth noting that in warmly welcoming you to our home rather than holiday rental - it will feel just that (hopefully in a good way!), but please expect e.g. family photos around, some personal belongings and kitchen cupboards occupied that you occasionally get with Airbnb's - but not in other rentals :-). Other things to note Although we warmly welcome pets (we have our own black Labrador), please be aware that our boundary is not fully enclosed on all sides. We have a long picket fence or hedges to all sides which work well, but the field gate to the entrance does have gaps which some pets could get through even when it’s shut. We are however set back off the busy road so with careful attention it will suit most.
