Cabin in the Sierra de Aigua

Description

A wooden cabin high in the Aiguá mountains, surrounded by nature and designed for disconnecting. Enjoy complete privacy, incredible sunsets, a wood-fired Finnish hot tub, barbecues, native forests, and nights under the stars. La Alborada is an off-grid experience for two adults, with solar energy, farm animals, and everything you need to slow down and enjoy the silence and nature. The space The cabin is located on a private 5-hectare small farm atop a mountain range, 15 minutes from Aiguá and about an hour from Punta del Este. It has 36 m² of interior space in an integrated environment, with a double bed and premium mattress, full bathroom, equipped kitchen, living room, pellet stove and large windows with open views of the mountains and the sunset. Outside, a 40 m² private deck is one of the highlights: it features a wood-fired Finnish hot tub, an indoor charcoal grill, a table, sofas and a sun lounger. There is also an outdoor wood-burning stove/grill. We include charcoal, firewood and pellets. The kitchen has a two-burner gas stove, a refrigerator with freezer, an Italian moka pot, an electric kettle, a mate gourd and thermos, dishes, wine glasses and everything you need for cooking. It has no oven or microwave. No TV: La Alborada's proposal is different. There are books, board games, nature, fire, stars and lots of silence. About 30 sheep and lambs live on the farm, as well as Luna and Sol, our two donkeys. Luna is very docile and usually comes over to say hello; Sol, her daughter, is more shy. The stay includes bedding, towels, bathroom amenities, coffee, tea, bottled water, and a welcome wine. Guest access During your stay, you can enjoy La Alborada's 5 hectares in complete freedom. The cabin, the deck, the Finnish hot tub and both grills are for the exclusive use of guests. You can freely explore the countryside and the native forest and go near the jetty. Access is self-contained. Before arrival, we send a detailed guide with directions and information on how to operate the gates. It is accessible by any vehicle and there is uncovered parking next to the cabin. It is mandatory to close each gate immediately after passing through to protect the animals on the farm. Other things to note La Alborada is an off-grid experience. All the energy comes from solar panels and batteries. During the day, there is 220V electricity, hot water, high-speed Starlink, and normal lighting. The range depends on the available solar energy and consumption: at night the batteries can run out, usually between 10:00 pm and 1:00 am, and sooner if there have been several cloudy days. When this happens, there is no electricity or hot water until the system is recharged. There is always water, a good 4G signal, candles, and rechargeable lamps. We recommend bringing a power bank and avoiding high-consumption devices, such as hair dryers. This is part of La Alborada's offer: disconnect, light the fire, enjoy the Jacuzzi, and end the day under a sky with very little light pollution. As it is in the middle of the countryside, insects and wildlife typical of rural areas may appear. We recommend keeping the doors closed. No children, babies or pets.
