Set on nearly 14 acres in Aylesford, our private lower-level suite offers spectacular views of the Valley and South Mountain, giving you the perfect place to slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature. Enjoy quiet mornings with a coffee overlooking the countryside, explore the wooded area behind the house, or spend your evenings gathered around the fire pit under a sky full of stars. Surrounded by farms, markets, orchards, and award-winning wineries, North Mountain Getaway is ideally located for exploring everything the Annapolis Valley has to offer while still feeling like a true retreat. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or simply a peaceful place to unwind, we hope you'll feel at home here and leave with wonderful memories of your time in the Valley. Guest access Please note that we ask guests not to drive or park at the front of the house or beyond the bnb door due to the septic bed in that area. Otherwise, parking by the bnb entrance is completely fine and encouraged for your convenience. Your suite is completely private and located on the lower level of our home, with its own separate entrance and keypad for self check-in. Keypad code will be sent to you in the morning on check in day. You'll have exclusive access to the entire lower-level suite, including the kitchenette, dining area/ living room, bedroom, and full bathroom. The upper level of the home is our private residence and is not accessible to guests. You're also welcome to enjoy the outdoor seating area and fire pit. We simply ask that all guests comply with the current Nova Scotia burn restrictions before lighting a fire. You can check the daily burn status by searching "Nova Scotia BurnSafe" before using the fire pit. Your safety, and the safety of our community, is important to us. We hope you make yourself at home and enjoy your time at North Mountain Getaway! Other things to note Sleeping Arrangements: North Mountain Getaway comfortably accommodates up to five guests. The bedroom features one queen bed and one twin bed. An additional queen-size Murphy cabinet bed is located in the living/dining area, providing a comfortable sleeping space while allowing you to enjoy the room during the day. Television & Streaming A television is available in the living room for your enjoyment. We do not subscribe to regular cable or satellite TV, however there is a Playstation that has several streaming services available, including Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Crave. You are welcome to use these services by simply signing in with your own account. Please remember to sign out of your accounts before checking out. Enjoy a little downtime and relax! 😊 Pet-Friendly: We welcome well-behaved pets! We do have a small dog who lives on the property, so we ask that visiting pets remain on a leash whenever they are outside. We also ask that owners clean up after their pets and help us keep the property enjoyable for everyone. Paws on the sofa are welcome—blankets are their VIP pass! 🐾 If your pup would like to join you for a cuddle, please place a blanket down first to help protect the furniture from muddy paws, drool, and pet hair.
