The space In the heart of the lush nature of the north of the Meuse, L'Écrin de Verdure welcomes you to a fully renovated farmhouse with character, combining the charm of the old with modern comfort. Nestled in a peaceful and green environment north of the Meuse, the house offers a true haven of peace throughout the year. Its thick stone walls naturally keep it cool in summer, while its automated wood-burning central heating provides a gentle, pleasant warmth in winter. This house is the result of several years of renovation and decoration carried out with passion by Laurent and myself. As lovers of houses with character, we wanted to preserve its authenticity while providing it with all the comforts necessary to accommodate families, friends, and guests in the best possible way. We have imagined each space as a small refuge where nature, charm and conviviality come together. The decor, discreetly inspired by the world of birds, invites you to relax and enjoy the good life. The fully equipped kitchen opens onto more than 55 m² of living space including a large dining room with a table for 14 people, a games area, a back kitchen with a desk area, and a bar area. This allows everyone to share convivial moments while enjoying their own pace. The separate living room, with its exposed stone wall, television and blackout curtains, offers a more intimate space to get together or relax. Its sofa bed also provides an additional sleeping space. Upstairs, the large bedrooms retain all the charm of the house thanks to their antique parquet floors and, in some cases, their elegant marble fireplaces. All are equipped with king-size beds to offer optimal comfort. They are spacious, so your wedding preparations can take place there without any worries! Because a good night's sleep is an integral part of a successful stay, we have paid particular attention to the quality of the bedding, thermo-regulating duvets, premium pillows, bed linen and bathroom linen, all selected from French manufacturers. The large bathroom includes a 140 cm walk-in shower, a double bathtub, a double sink, and an extra king-size bed. A separate toilet is also available on the ground floor. The outdoors: The vast enclosed garden, which is not overlooked, is a real green setting where young and old can fully enjoy the sunny days. Several dining and relaxation areas allow you to share a brunch, an aperitif or simply enjoy the calm of the countryside, while the children play safely, all on 21 ares. A 180 m² (1,937 sq. ft.) covered parking area allows you to easily park several vehicles with direct access to the garden. An ideal location for discovering the region: L'Écrin de Verdure is particularly popular with families, groups of friends and groups of hikers, but also with guests coming to celebrate a wedding in the Azannes area. The house is also an ideal base for exploring the Old Trades of Azannes, Verdun, World War I memorial sites, the landscapes of the Meuse or nearby Belgium. For optimal comfort, we recommend the house for 8 guests. However, thanks to its additional beds, it can accommodate up to 14 people for family gatherings or stays with friends. Guest access Guests have access to all the living areas of the house. The outbuildings (barn and workshop) remain reserved for private use. Parking is available in the covered parking lot, in the courtyard, or in front of the house, with direct access to the enclosed garden. Out of respect for the neighborhood and to maintain the tranquility of the premises, parties and events are not permitted. Other things to note We'll be happy to help you organize your stay.
