The Spruce

Tucked into the Vermont woods, The Spruce is where serenity meets refined comfort. Surrounded by nature, wake up to peaceful, quiet mornings. Spend the days exploring Burlington, Lake Champlain, or the mountains, then come home and slow down. Relax on the covered porch, gather around the glowing fire pit, or soak in the hot tub beneath the stars. Experience the natural beauty of Vermont and treat yourself to a stay made for slowing down, settling in, and enjoying the moment. The space The Spruce is a brand new, 900 square foot standalone ADU (accessory dwelling unit) with two bedrooms, one bathroom, and 1 car garage. Built with the same care and materials you'd expect in a much larger house. The main living area flows openly between the kitchen, dining space, and living room, with soaring ceilings and big windows that bring in a lot of natural light. Cozy up by the fireplace or gather around the kitchen's quartz island. The kitchen is fully equipped like your own at home: pots and pans, Tupperware, a crockpot, toaster, blender, down to the wine opener are all on hand, along with spices, condiments. A Keurig with K-cups, sugar and sugar alternatives, and creamer cups are provided as well. The bathroom's walk-in shower is calm and spa-like stocked with Aesop products, plush Turkish cotton towels, makeup towels, a 10x magnifying mirror, a hair dryer, and a first aid kit. You have an in-unit washer and dryer, with everything you need to do a load while you're here. The rest of the home is furnished throughout with Crate & Barrel and West Elm, with extra blankets for getting cozy and plenty of games for evenings in by the fire. The Sleeping Arrangements The Back Bedroom has a King Bed (sleeps 2). Dressed in luxurious bamboo bedding, with a down alternative filled duvet or cotton quilt so you can choose your own comfort. Built-in closet storage with plenty of hangers and a hamper. Bedside pendant lighting on either side of the bed, and wall outlets with both USB and USB-C charging at the nightstand. Control your own heating and cooling from your own zone, and enjoy your own TV. Blackout blinds keep it dark for sleeping in, and every window looks out on woods and manicured landscaping. The Front Bedroom has a Queen Bed (sleeps 2): Furnished and appointed the same way, with it's own TV, own heating and cooling zone, and the same quality bedding and finishes. Outdoor Living Step out onto the covered porch and the patio opens up: a bluestone bench wraps the gas fire pit, lit softly from beneath, with the hot tub just a few steps away. Fire up the gas grill for a night dining in. Soak in the hot tub under the stars, or under a light fall of snow. Sip your favorite drink by the fire pit and listen to the nature surrounding you, or let the outdoor speakers set the soundtrack for the night. Swing from the branches of the property's treasured black walnut tree, curl up with a book, and keep an eye out for deer, turkey, foxes, and the occasional groundhog. When the weather turns, the Adirondack rockers on the front porch are the best seat in the house for watching a rainstorm roll through. The whole place is set back into the trees, so it feels private and quiet even though you're just a short drive from Burlington, Lake Champlain, and Stowe. Guest access Private entry by keypad, no key needed, at both the front door and the garage. You'll receive your personalized codes prior to check-in. A Ring doorbell is on-site for security. Check-in is after 3:00 PM and checkout is by 11:00 AM.
