Description

In the Gard between Cévennes and the Mediterranean, ecological gîte created in 2012 in the heart of the village of Quissac. Exposed stones, shaded terrace overlooking the garden. Ideal for visiting the area: hiking and swimming: sea, lakes and rivers. The space 🏞️Capacity: 4 + 2 (benches in the living room). With an area of about 50 m², it includes: * 1 private shaded terrace and a small garden without opposite. Barbecue. * on the ground floor: 1 living room (living room and fitted kitchen) and a small bathroom with toilet. * On the 1st floor: 1 closed bedroom with 1 double bed, 1 bedroom under the roof with 2 single beds open to the spiral staircase. High quality bedding. Comfort in winter thanks to the wood pellet stove. Authentic interior design: cement tiles, earthen plaster... ❗ Accommodation not suitable for the elderly or people with reduced mobility (access with steps and spiral staircase) 👶For young children, we can provide a travel cot, a high chair and a small bathtub. Bed linen and bath towels are not provided. 🌿In 2020, we redeveloped the small garden to better accommodate you: a large 25 m² gravel terrace and a hammock chair for a relaxing stay. The shaded terrace is particularly appreciated in summer. Note = sheets and towels are not provided. Contact us if you have any concerns. We can occasionally offer them at extra cost. 🏞️Ideal for testing an eco-habitat: this gîte has been entirely designed in an ecological way, whether in terms of the healthy materials used (monowall bricks, cork insulation, wood fibers and lime-hemp, interior earth coatings, etc.) or equipment (solar water heater, wood pellet stove) + purchase of renewable electricity from SCIC ENERCOOP. If you'd like, we can provide you with more information about this during your stay. ☀️The cottage is not equipped with air conditioning. Fans are available in summer. 🏖️ 🚵‍♀️At the gates of the Cévennes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, close to the Mediterranean: ideal for visiting the whole region. Things to do in the surrounding area: *Swimming: Vidourle, Mediterranean, lakes and rivers * Hiking and walking in the Cévennes and Garrigues * Outdoor sports: many climbing sites, mountain biking, canoeing, horseback riding, fishing... * Close to the medieval villages of Sommières and Sauve, the bamboo grove of Anduze. * Discover wines and local products. Within a radius of 50 km: the Cévennes, the Pont du Gard, Nîmes, Montpellier, Uzès, La Camargue and the beaches, the Cirque de Navacelles, the gorges of the Hérault, Saint Guilhem le Désert… Throughout the summer, many village festivals, bullfighting festivals, festivals and concerts. Guest access For your arrival: 🅿️ 🚗Parking is available on the communal grounds in front of the gîte. 🔑We prefer to be there for your arrival, but an independent or late arrival is still possible (key box). 🚶House conveniently located close to everything on foot! Located in the village close to shops, the market (on Wednesdays), the outdoor swimming pool refurbished in 2024, the new children's playground, entertainment and festivities... Other things to note High-speed WiFi available Great for families. Children are of course welcome. Long-term furnished rental possible in winter.
