Charming 18th Century Georgian Barn Conversion.

Welcome to Manor Cottage Barn. Situated in the quiet village of Averham just outside of Newark Upon Trent in rural Nottinghamshire. The barn itself is an 18th century chapel and barn combined and was fully restored in the 90's. Inside there are two large rooms, one comprising of a lounge area for guests and a private workshop area dedicated to picture framing. The other is a Bedroom, kitchen and dining room with a separate Bathroom. *This is a no smoking anywhere including outside home. The space As can be seen from the pictures it's very cosy space with plenty of room and all amenities that come with a self contained apartment. It is fully central heated with an outdoor area that can seat six people. There is TV in the bedroom connected to the Highspeed wifi for Netflix (if you have an account), iplayer etc. If you require an earlier or later check in time please contact us, we can be very flexible if given early notice. Guest access Access is from the road only. Other things to note If you're into sightseeing, local town Southwell has some fabulous architecture, including the stunning Southwell Minster. Lots of pubs and shops, there's also a great Chinese takeaway there too, Bamboo Garden. A little further down the road you can visit the house and grounds of Newstead Abbey - former home of the poet Byron. There are no shops in the village so please stock up with provisions before you arrive or arrive in enough time to visit the nearest towns of Newark/Southwell for all your shopping needs.
