Guests are welcome to use the guest rooms, engawa veranda, private toilet and washroom. The separate scenic bath and sauna are also available. These facilities are shared on a scheduled basis with guests staying at another property on the grounds, and we will arrange your time at check-in. Please do not enter the glamping/camping areas, private rooms, linen room, or other staff-only areas. Other things to note 【Additional Guest Fee】 The Airbnb price shown includes up to 3 guests. For 4 or more guests, an additional accommodation fee of ¥10,000 per person applies from the 4th guest onward. If you add meals, meal charges will also apply for each additional guest. Additional guest fees are not included in the Airbnb price shown and must be paid separately on site. 【Important Information Before Booking】 ■ Access & Transportation Kominka Omine is located in the mountains and requires an approximately 20-minute walk uphill from the parking area. The trail is maintained, but we recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes. Wheeled suitcases cannot be pulled along the mountain trail. There are no lights along the trail, so we strongly recommend checking in before sunset. Transportation from the parking area to the property is available upon request. Please contact us at least one day in advance, as same-day requests may not be accommodated. ■ Parking Private parking is available for guests of WOODLAND BOTHY and Kominka Omine. Parking is by reservation, so please let us know in advance how many cars you will be bringing. For your car navigation system, please enter: “737 Yozawa, Akiruno, Tokyo” Please do not use the accommodation address, as some navigation systems may not guide you correctly to the parking area. ■ Check-in Check-in is available from 3:00 PM. In winter, the mountain trail becomes dark from around 5:00 PM. If you expect to arrive after sunset, we recommend bringing a headlamp or flashlight. ■ Bath & Sauna Your room has a private toilet and washroom. The scenic bath and sauna are located in a separate building. The bath and sauna are used on a scheduled basis with guests staying at another accommodation on the property. The private scenic bath is available until 10:00 PM and can also be used the following morning. Our sauna with a cold plunge is available to overnight guests at no additional charge. We will arrange your bath and sauna times at check-in. ■ Meals This Airbnb reservation is for accommodation only. Meals can be added with advance reservation. 【BBQ Plan】 Enjoy Japanese beef, seasonal vegetables and other ingredients. You can enjoy BBQ on the engawa veranda, or use our indoor BBQ area in case of heavy rain. 【Traditional Countryside Cuisine】 Enjoy seasonal Japanese dishes made with local ingredients from the Akigawa Valley, such as river fish, Akigawa Beef and seasonal tempura. 【Akigawa Beef Hot Pot – Winter Only】 A seasonal hot pot featuring locally raised Akigawa Beef, perfect for the colder months. Menus may change depending on the season and availability of ingredients. An all-you-can-drink option, including alcoholic beverages, is also available. Please contact us in advance if you would like to add meals or drinks to your stay. ■ Quiet Hours Please be considerate of noise, especially at night, as the property is surrounded by a peaceful mountain environment. Outdoor activities, including bonfires and fireworks, must end by 10:00 PM. Outdoor lights are turned off at 11:00 PM. ■ About the Room The property does not have door locks. Sleepwear and pajamas are not provided, so please bring your own. If you need to heat food in the microwave, our staff can do so for you in the kitchen. ■ Shops & Convenience Stores As the property is located in the mountains, it is not easy to visit supermarkets or convenience stores after check-in. We recommend purchasing any food, drinks or other necessities before arriving. ■ Climate & Insects Temperatures are generally around 5°C cooler than central Tokyo. As the property is surrounded by nature, insects may be present depending on the season. Insect repellent and mosquito coils are provided, but please understand that insects are a natural part of the mountain environment. ■ Heating A kerosene heater is provided in the room. For safety, please turn it off before going to sleep. Blankets and electric heated mattress pads are also provided. ■ Bonfire & Fireworks One bundle of firewood is provided free of charge. Additional firewood is available for ¥550 per bundle. Only handheld fireworks are permitted. ■ BBQ Grill Rental A charcoal BBQ grill can be rented for ¥3,500 (tax included). Reservation is required at least one week in advance. For light rain, BBQ can be enjoyed under the covered engawa veranda. An indoor BBQ area is available in case of heavy rain. ■ Other Information For groups of more than 6 guests, please contact us before booking. Due to the mountain trail and stairs, we do not recommend bringing a stroller. If you are traveling by public transportation with a stroller, please contact us in advance and we can arrange a place to store it. 【Cancellation Due to Severe Weather】 Our standard cancellation policy applies even when bad weather, such as typhoons or heavy snow, is forecast. However, if we determine that it is unsafe or difficult to operate the facility, we will offer a free date change or cancellation without charge. We generally make the final decision regarding operations one day before your stay. If you have any questions regarding weather conditions, please contact us by email or Airbnb message.
