The space In the rolling hills of the beautiful Northern Rivers, near Byron Bay, Raindrop Hinterland House is a unique stay. The farmhouse was built with local stone and the land formerly a lychee/longan farm before becoming an organic vegetables farm. There are over a hundred fruit trees to explore with seasonal fruit at your fingertips and a kitchen garden with tomatoes and herbs for the home cook. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas cooking, fridge and the basics such as tea, coffee, olive oil and seasonings provided for your comfort and enjoyment. With three bedrooms including a king, queen and two king single beds we are well arranged for couples and families or those looking for a retreat set in nature. Wildlife abounds with wallabies that frequent the property in the mornings and evenings and birdsong all day. There is also a cot available on request. The property has an indoor fireplace, gardens, lawns and new pool facilities, a large deck looking across our grass fields and forest to the next rolling hill - always plenty of wildlife to see. Limited fire logs are supplied and the property has plenty of kindling to offer when top up is required. The home has air conditioning, coffee machine, an indoor fireplace and a bathtub with a view so whilst being off-grid we offer all the comforts of home. Rainwater is filtered for carefree drinking, solar panels power the home sustainably. All bedding and towels are supplied for guests and are of cotton or linen composition. Close by is the wonderful Whian Whian falls (just a few minutes drive), Dunoon General Store for all your last-minute basics (even Jilly Wines), Clunes Store, Cafe and Cellar for grocery top ups and a morning brew, just over ten minutes away. Bangalow and Federal with their lovely offerings are just over 20minutes scenic drive away, too. Sorry, we are not currently pet-friendly. Please note that there is farm machinery and equipment on site as well as a spring fed dam and creek far afield from the house, so we recommend taking care, exploring safely and keeping near to little ones.
