The Buffalo Farm
Find Northwood’s tranquility at a Cable area Farmhouse. Centrally located, you will be close to Cable, hiking & biking trails, ski & snowshoe trails, the Firehouse 50 race course, restaurants and two lakes in the area - Lake Owen and Lake Namakagon. Merely minutes from downtown Cable, you'll find this tucked-away property featuring a remodeled farmhouse and two barns, all resting on five acres of private pastureland. In the early 20th century, the land housed loggers and even served as a Bison Ranch at one point. Embrace the presence of two barns – one originally designed for tractors and keeping horses, while the other stands as a haven for artists. We trust you value your privacy, as we won't be on the premises at the Farm during your stay. The house is entirely yours to enjoy and unwind in! Our home features a wood-burning stove and a sauna. However, please note that these amenities aren't depicted in our listing, and they're not available for guest use due to associated risks. We appreciate your understanding! While we won't be present in person, we're here to provide assistance through messaging, texts, and phone calls (if needed) throughout your stay. The house has three bedrooms, featuring one full-size bed, two bunk beds, and a couch in the living room. Bed linens and towels are included. The bathroom on the main floor is equipped with a shower, but there is no bathtub. Please inform us if you plan on bringing your dog(s). INTERNET Our Internet connection (360 Mbps download / 168 Mbps upload) should be able to handle multiple devices streaming or video conferencing at the same time. PROPERTY LINES Kindly remain within our fenced 5-acre property, adhere to posted signs, and avoid venturing deep into the fields or woods. Please note that the surrounding areas are all private property. PARKING AND TRAILERS The parking of trucks pulling trailers is not allowed on our premises. SNOWMOBILING There isn't direct access to any snowmobile trails from the house due to the private lands surrounding the area. To reach the snowmobile trail, you'll need to drive out. We apologize for not being able to welcome snowmobile enthusiasts. HORSES Between late May and September, there's a possibility of having several privately owned horses on the premises. The owner tends to the horses briefly on a daily basis. Please note that the owner prefers that NO TREATS be given to the animals. If you have any inquiries or concerns about proper interactions with the horses (which should be limited to observation and petting), please feel free to approach the owner at that time.
