Boshuisje Doldersum is situated in the heart of the Drents-Friese Wold, featuring a sheltered, fenced forest garden of 1,100 m² and unobstructed views of a meadow with the Doldersummerveld beyond. In the evening, light the wood-burning stove in the garden, put on some music, and watch the sun sink below the horizon. No TV, no hustle and bustle — just birdsong, stars, and the silence you never find in the city. The space As soon as you park the car at Boshuisje Doldersum you know — it's good here. Birdsong around you, an enclosed forest garden of 1,100m² and unobstructed views over the adjacent meadow and nature reserve. Large windows ensure that you are always one with nature outside. The cottage is attractively and vintage-style — not a brand new holiday home, but a cozy and complete forest cottage in a unique location where everything works well and nothing is missing. Living room: Cozy living and dining room with large windows and views of the garden and meadow. No traditional TV — deliberately, to help you really loosen up. However, a large computer screen to stream via your own laptop. And a record player with LP collection, JBL Bluetooth sound system, board games, Lego, books and comics for all ages. A separate workplace is available for those who need it. Kitchen: Simple but well equipped — Nespresso and filter coffee, all necessary cooking utensils and a basic supply of coffee, tea and essentials on arrival. Bedrooms: Two bedrooms, each with blackout curtains and mosquito nets. The master bedroom has a Swiss Sense box-spring bed with mattress topper for a wonderful night's sleep. The second bedroom has a sturdy bunk bed, suitable for both children and adults. Bathroom: Spacious shower, sink with separate toilet. Garden — this is where you want to be: The fully fenced forest garden borders directly on the meadow and nature reserve — from every seat you have an unobstructed view. Multiple sitting areas, a hammock for lazy afternoons, a covered bench for all weathers, a wood stove with chairs and a BBQ. In the guestbook you can read which birds previous guests have spotted. Practical extras: Fast fiber optic wifi, washing machine, workplace. Charging electric car via 220V possible — costs afterwards based on consumption, report in advance and take the charger with you. Surroundings: The garden borders directly on the Doldersummerveld — in the evening you can sit on the terrace with a glass of wine and watch the sun disappear behind the horizon. During the day you can walk straight onto the heath, into the forest or across the sand dunes. Nearby is the watchtower in the Doldersummerveld, or go to the Bosbergtoren in Appelscha: a beautiful walk with panoramic views as a reward. The Drents-Friese would offers routes for every level, from a quiet walk in the woods to challenging mountain bike routes. Fancy a day out? Giethoorn, Assen and the colony villages of Frederiksoord and Wilhelminaoord are easily accessible. For children: climbing parks, forest playgrounds, swimming pools and pancake restaurants a short distance away. Rental bicycles come to your home by appointment.
