The Cowsheds Sleeps 17 - Chic Country/Pet Friendly

Good Mondays Farm is 10 mins off the M4, ideal for visiting the wealth of attractions in the Cotswolds. The Grade II listed cowshed conversion has high beamy ceilings, light spacious rooms with rustic features from the farm in its heyday. The bedrooms have large beds dressed in Egyptian cotton sheets and goose down duvets, all with smart TVs, free wifi and a desk. The bathrooms are furnished with a cast iron bath and/or a monsoon shower with Egyptian cotton white fluffy towels. The space The Cowsheds - 5 Bedrooms (1 large barn conversion and a cottage next door) sleeps maximum 17 guests (including infants). The Cowsheds is comprised of one large house, the former cowsheds, and a 1 bedroom cottage. which is literally metres away from the main house. Guests sleeping in The Cottage can share the communal areas in the Cowsheds, whilst also being able to escape to the cottage for a little peace from the rest of the party, if needed! Together, the Cowsheds and The Cottage comprise of 5 bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. All of the bedrooms have a cupboard / hooks, desk, smart TV, full length mirror, hair dryer, portable fan and fit a travel cot (if required). The beds are made up in Egyptian cotton sheets, goose down duvets and pure wool throws. The bathrooms all have a cast iron roll top bath and / or a monsoon shower, along with fluffy white Egyptian cotton towels and Cowshed cosmetics. More details of each bedroom below... Bedroom 1 is the largest room, furnished with Fermoie linen fabrics, India Jane lamps and has a sumptuous sofa. This room also holds a single sofa bed and a single "bed in a box", both, from all accounts, are very comfortable. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a monsoon shower and a cast iron bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks hand-crafted taps. Bedroom 2 offers a more contemporary style with a beautiful nickel king sized bed, backed with a panelled wall and warm low level lighting. There is also a single "bed in a box", so another guest can also share this room. The adjoining bathroom offers an enormous Lefroy Brooks basin with an extravagant monsoon shower. This bathroom is also furnished with grab rails so would be well suited to any disabled or elderly members of the group. Bedroom 3 is an elegant room furnished with a sumptuous super king bed with china lamps and Fermoie linen scatter cushions. There is also a desk for those wishing to write a few letters. The panelled bathroom is very spoiling with a cast iron roll top bath fitted with Lefroy Brooks taps and a walk-in monsoon shower. Bedroom 4 has a large super king (double) bed. Situated in the old Piggery, it has a country boho vibe with its quirky lighting and antique furniture. This traditional charm flows into the bathroom with its roll top bath, decked in railway sleepers, and antique copper wash basin. Whilst one of the smaller bedrooms, it has the advantage of views rolling over the orchard and pony paddocks beyond. Bedroom 5 is in The Cottage. It is an elegant first floor room with a large king-sized bed. It has a warm rustic feel with beams floating through the eaves, sumptuous fabrics and quirky soft furnishings. The en-suite bathroom is dark and decadent and offers a large roll top over-looking the rooftops and a walk-in monsoon shower. In addition, The Cottage has a beautiful kitchen with all the modcons you could possibly require, a beautiful sitting room with 2 large sofas (one of which is a double sofa bed), a desk and a smart flat-screen TV. There is also a gravelled outside area adorned with flowers and equipped with a table, 4 chairs. The kitchen itself is extremely well-equipped with a large range cooker (4 hob, 3 ovens/grill), American fridge / freezer with a water and ice dispenser, double Belfast sink, microwave, 2 dishwashers, Nespresso machine, selection of fine bone china crockery, plenty of champagne glasses, wine glasses, pint glasses and tumblers, and all of the mod cons you could possibly require. There is also a small kitchen bar for 3 guests to be seated. The sitting room has high beamy ceilings and a glass frontage allowing the sun to stream through, whilst adorned with low level lighting to ensure a more subtle vibe in the evenings. It is furnished with a substantial L-shaped sofa and a smaller 3-seater sofa (with optional double sofa bed), both dressed with Fermoie linen scatter cushions. In addition, there is a coffee table, a large smart television, a bluetooth speaker and a dresser complete with board games, magazines and books at your disposal. There is bar next to the sitting room furnished with an under-counter wine fridge and an additional fridge for mixers. It has a good supply of champagne glasses, wine glasses, pint glasses and tumblers, along with a couple of champagne buckets. In the event that the sitting room is used as a bedroom, thick linen curtains can be drawn across the windows and bar area for privacy and to ensure a restful night’s sleep. There is also an additional bath/ shower room available off the kitchen / dining room (not far from the sitting room) for guests to use. This is entered by ducking under the beam and through the original sliding door, opening up to an indulgent cast iron roll top bath with telephone taps and a monsoon shower. External Areas - There is a small grassed area at the front and rear of the property. At the front is a large courtyard lined with ornamental pear trees, and a traditional stone wall. There is a lawn in front of the sitting room and a parking area for up to 10 cars. At the rear of the property, and accessible from the sitting room, is a small garden and patio overlooking the orchard and pony paddocks beyond. This is fully equipped with a large gas barbecue (gas provided), a table and plenty of chairs for all guests. We encourage guests to use this more private area instead of the front garden, so as to reduce the disturbance to our neighbours. Guest access Guest / Disabled access - Once inside the Cowsheds, it’s all on one level, except a step up into the bath / shower room by the dining room and a small step up up into the sitting room from the kitchen / dining room. There is a small step up into each bedroom from outside with large double doors into all bedrooms except Bedroom 4. The en-suite bath / shower room to Bedroom 2 also has several grab rails so is possibly best suited to any elderly or disabled members of the group. The Cottage bedroom is up a flight of stairs on the first floor, although there is also a double sofa bed in the sitting room on the ground floor. All of the bedrooms and communal rooms have outdoor access, with Bedroom 4 and The Cottage having their own gravelled seating areas. Please note that, Bedroom 4 and The Cottage are rather more self-contained and not linked to the main barn conversion (albeit just a few paces away from the communal areas), so are perhaps not so well suited to young children if the parents are in Bedrooms 1 to 3. Do have a look at the floor plans and this should clarify the above. The Cowsheds has its own separate courtyard and 10+ car parking area, as well as a private entrance from the road. The Weekender is on 2 levels, with the bedroom upstairs and a small step into the property. Other things to note Children's facilities: 2 travel cots, 2 highchairs, potty, nappy changer mat, plastic crockery and cutlery. Please request cots in advance of your stay!
