Charming one-bedroom carriage house nestled on the prettiest street in Beaufort. This cozy apartment is on the grounds of the historic John Rumley House, circa 1854. Sit on the patio under the canopy of a pecan tree, meander past the beautifully restored pre-revolutionary homes, or take a short stroll to the waterfront. Park the car! This cottage is within a leisurely walk to all areas in downtown Beaufort & ferries that will take you to Carrot Island, Shackleford Banks and Cape Lookout. The space Rest in comfort on a queen-size bed covered in fine cotton linens. The living room has a full-size pull-out sofa if extra space is needed. The kitchen is newly outfitted. Cafe lights illuminate your evenings as you relax on the patio listening to the tree frogs sing the song of their people. This historic location is 1.5 blocks from the water and about 4 blocks from there to downtown Beaufort. Guest access This first floor apartment has no stairs and is accessible. Rental includes use of the apartment, patio, yard and grill. Occasionally the grill on the patio is also used by the main house owners. Yard is also used by owners. Use of the driveway for unloading and loading and when main house is vacant is fine. Please check with us if you have special parking needs. Other things to note The owners have two large, friendly dogs that may come to greet you!
