Please book in town! 2ndWind Ranch is up on a mesa, above the river valley location of the city of Durango. 2 min. access to HWY 550, it is rural but not wilderness. Suitable for 2 Adults. Not suitable for guests who prefer to be in walking distance of shops and restaurants. Pet free/smoke free. 20 minute drive to town. The space Location: Open sky sunrise and sunsets, stars at night, outdoor seating, distant mountain views, and a pastoral setting make 2ndWind Ranch a good choice for guests who wish to be outside of busy town activities and traffic of Durango. IF YOU PREFER CLOSER PROXIMITY TO DURANGO, please search for listings within the city limits. We are 12 miles east, outside of Durango, on the mesa. Durango Airport: 15 miles from the Ranch. We highly recommend advance planning with an on site Airport car rental service. Taxis and/or Uber are limited and very expensive! Casita Furnishings: Our first priority is cleanliness and comfort. The bed, linens, and dinette area are coordinated to feel like home. The spacious shower and bathroom has two windows which provide natural light, fresh air, and is well stocked with toiletries, towels, hair dryer, iron and ironing board. Kitchen Amenities: We offer basic supplies for a self serve continental breakfast. The kitchenette is equipped with tableware, cookware, microwave, stove, refrigerator with top freezer, toaster, blender, coffeemaker, electric kettle , electric skillet, and crockpot. Sleeping Arrangements: A queen size bed with pillow top, plush mattress in a studio style, one room layout. Media: No cable tv DVD Entertainment library Wifi is available , but not recommended for business purposes. Guest access Guests have full and exclusive use of the Casita . Private entrance. Designated free parking. Outdoor seating in front of the building. Other things to note 2ndWind Casita is not suitable for children and infants. Reservations limited to 2 adults . Accommodations are pet free due to consideration for guests with allergies. We do not accept reservations for guests with pets. Smoke free. No smoking of any kind. Slow Internet: Please bear in mind that rural mountain areas typically have slower speeds for wifi. Guests who want to conduct business usually prefer locations in town, where fiber optic cable provides higher speed wifi. Entertainment: No cable or satellite TV on this property. Instead, we offer a large library of dvd entertainment. Cleaning: We ask that when you use the kitchen for cooking, you will show the courtesy of cleaning your own dishes and putting away or disposing of food. Please wipe up grease or spills. Let us know if you need anything for mishaps. Pets We maintain a pet free environment in the Casita for accommodating guests with allergies. We do not accept reservations for guests traveling with pets. Recycling We support the environment by recycling paper, cardboard, and clean, rinsed glass, plastic, or metal. A large tan recycle container is in front of the barn. Inside the Casita there is a smaller waste basket especially for recycling items . It's located in the cupboard below the kitchen sink . It is important to RINSE before putting recyclables in the waste basket. *Glass is recycled separately in a smaller dark green barrel. Smoking Please, no smoking of any kind in the Casita. Our property is smoke free. BBQ grill In season, a shared use BBQ grill is available for our family and for guest use.
