Welcome to our home! This beautiful A-frame is a cozy oasis any time of year. Our custom home was built with love, and the details and amenities make it truly one-of-a-kind. Inside you'll find a clean, up-scale haven with beautiful lighting, comfortable beds, and lovely decor. The outside is full of treasures, from the hot tub, to the fountain, to the retro stools and cedar bar. We're thrilled to share our special place and believe it is a home you'll want to visit year after year. Ideal for parties of 4 or less. For example: - A couple's retreat - Your anniversary - Your honeymoon - Your family vacation - Your get-a-way with friends - Your "just because" ***We will consider accommodating parties larger than 4 people --- just ask Features Include: - 2 bedrooms - A first-floor master suite with a California King sized bed and private bath, and TV. - A second-story loft bedroom with a Queen sized bed. Please note, the stairway to the loft is narrow and steep. - A nice self-inflating Queen size mattress is available as needed. - Two-person hot tub with adjacent cedar bar area - WiFi, cable, SMART TV, Blu-ray player, sound bar - Gas grill and 4-person patio table with umbrella on the back deck - Three decks (one out front and two out back) - Outside waterfall fountain This is a private residence, and you will have access to the main house, front and back porches, and yard. Guest will not have access to the detached office or garage. Guests will not have access to the gas fireplace. The cleaning fee is based on the number of bedrooms used. - Parties of two have access to the downstairs master bedroom. - Parties of more than two have access to both the upstairs loft and the downstairs master bedroom. We are always available by phone, text, or email. At almost 4,000 feet elevation, our home is nestled in California's Sierra Nevada mountain range. The neighborhood of Bass Lake Heights is quiet and tight-knit. Established in the 1950s, this small community is situated in the perfect location for enjoying Bass Lake (just one mile away) or taking day trips to Yosemite or the Sierras. An easy commute to Bass Lake, Oakhurst, Yosemite, and Fresno: - A 3 minute drive to Bass Lake - About a 10 min drive to the town of Oakhurst - 21 miles from Yosemite's South Entrance (about a 35 minute drive) - A 25 minute drive to Chukchansi Gold Casino - A 45 minute drive to Fresno - 2 to 3 hour drive from Kings Canyon, Sequoia, and Inyo National Parks The A-Frame Challenge We know these might not all be your cup of tea, but we offer you this list as a friendly challenge… complete as many or as few as you’d like. From our family to yours, enjoy! (Please note: These are suggestions only and may be completed at your own risk) At the Home: - Connect your phone to the soundbar in the living room and play some tunes. - Download a stargazing app and sit out back. - Use the hot tub before 6 am. I know. Just, trust us :) - Grill out on the back deck. - Game night - Our collection is small, so bring your favorite games to play. - Read a book on the swing chair. Bass Lake Adventures Await (Seasonal): - Go on a hike around Bass Lake - Grab your flashlight or headlamp, drive to Bass Lake, and go on a night hike. - Beach day at Bass Lake! (Please do not take our towels… bring your own) - Find Willow Cove for a swim (A local secret) Turn left on 426, turn left on Crane Valley Road (to Bass Lake), turn left on Road 222, turn right on 274, go four miles (past the Pines Resort) to the Willow Cove Picnic Site. (Hair pin right turn). - Rope swings and a rock jump are near Willow Cove :) - Rent a boat, kayak, or paddle board from the Forks, Millers, or the Pines. - Walk the Bass Lake Dam - Sit on the deck at Ducey’s on the Lake and grab a drink. (seasonal) - Drive up to Beashore Meadows and the Jones Street Store (7,000 feet elevation) for an AMAZING piece of pie (seasonal / call ahead / cash only) Oakhurst - A Vibrant, Friendly Town: (Seasonal / Call ahead) - Lewis Creek National Scenic Trail to Corlieu Falls and Red Rock Falls (So fun!) - Shop at the Oakhurst Fruit Stand (Off 41 toward Yosemite). The owner is friendly, the produce is ready to eat, delicious, and the price is just right. - Go find a treasure in one of the many thrift stores in Oakhurst. - The Gold Chain Theater (live community theater & reasonable ticket prices). - Check out the Children’s Museum of Sierra (tiny but fun) - Checkout the Oakhurst Public Library - It’s always free! National Parks are Nearby: - Grab your camera and head to - Yosemite, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, or Inyo - Nelder Grove - Graveyard of the Giant Sequoias What did we leave off?
