Berry house full of character

The name of the gîte comes from the nightingales that sing throughout the spring. The house is located in a small hamlet of 4 houses, in a quiet valley, 3 km from the small town of Châteaumeillant, in the heart of the historic region of Berry, which is now part of the Centre Val de Loire region. It is a hilly region with rich farmland, forests, vineyards, picturesque villages and lively towns. The space The Les Rossignols cottage has been completely renovated. It has all modern comforts but has retained many traditional features such as its exposed beams and a fireplace with a wood burning stove. The large private garden is fully fenced and includes a 5.5 m diameter above-ground pool. There are sun loungers, deckchairs, a barbecue and a terrace where you can dine outdoors. The swing is ideal for relaxing. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. The open-plan living room has comfortable armchairs and there is a TV. The three bedrooms are bright and spacious. One bedroom has a king size bed and the others are furnished with single beds. A travel crib, a crib and a highchair are available if needed. The bathroom has a large bathtub with shower. There is an additional shower room at the bottom of the stairs. The property is located on the road to Santiago de Compostela, with many marked trails nearby. The setting is particularly appreciated by hiking, walking or cycling enthusiasts. For water sports, you can go to Lake Sidialles where you can rent canoes or boats. There is also a sandy beach, a supervised swimming area and a huge course in the trees with ropes and zip lines. In the surrounding area, you can enjoy horseback riding, golf or fishing. You can also visit castles, medieval churches and beautiful gardens. In summer, there are local markets and flea markets every weekend in the surrounding villages. During your stay, you can also explore the vineyards of Châteaumeillant and participate in a wine tasting. Other things to note Unfortunately, it is not possible to recharge electric or hybrid vehicles in our cottage, but there are charging stations in several places in Chateaumeillant (2.5 km).
