Unlike the other two apartments in the house, "Hopfen" does not have its own balcony! This is the perfect place for anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors in the Franconian countryside during the day and wants to start and end the day in a stylish and cozy way. Or just wants to have peace and quiet. Welcome to Apartment Hopfen! Very quiet and in the middle of the Haßberge Nature Park, right on the historic Rennweg, former brewery under monument protection. The three newly developed, exclusive apartments and the double room pamper you with many extras for living and relaxing. The furnishings are tailor-made from our own carpentry shop in natural, finest materials and furniture of the brand "Eichenfrau". Closeness to nature and "Made in Germany" are paramount here. Feel-good atmosphere is therefore guaranteed. Beautiful garden behind the brewery with maximum privacy and swimming pond bio top. Adults only, no pets. Whether you're a good walker or not, the spacious and barrier-free ambience of QUELLE will delight you. - Apartment Malz: Here you have a large balcony for watching the sunrise and with a wide view of the garden with a natural pond, the green Franconian hills, forests and fields. If you value your privacy and don't want to miss out on a sunny breakfast outdoors with birdsong, you will feel comfortable here and have a wonderful rest. Guest access Brauhaus 3 was actually a brewery more than 100 years ago. Located right on the historic Rennweg, it was a rest stop for travelers between Bamberg and Fulda. Today it is a wonderfully quiet domicile for vacationers. Brewing is only occasionally done as a hobby, on the ground floor of the house, to preserve the old tradition a little. Other things to note We would like to offer you the opportunity to stay as a guest in our vacation homes with a clear conscience and to enjoy your precious free time with maximum comfort while still conserving resources. So what do we do to make sure you have a good time? "Made in Germany" is a way of life for us as a carpenter family. The furniture is largely designed and manufactured by us from local woods and natural materials. We try to avoid plastics as much as possible. The general furnishings of the apartments are also from regional or German production with high quality standards and long durability. Yes, there are also air conditioning units in Brauhaus 3, in the three apartments! It sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. Because at those times when the air conditioning is needed, the sun supplies more than enough electricity directly for it via our photovoltaic systems! We now produce and store almost twice as much electricity here as we consume ourselves. Solar thermal energy also warms our water with solar energy. Charging stations for electric vehicles: Our Wallbox is always available for you with two connections for charging, for cars and bikes. Waste separation for recycling: Separate containers for plastic, paper, glass, organic and residual waste are available in the apartments as well as in the carport. Smart energy saving: We work with energy-saving LED lighting technology everywhere in the houses and general paths are equipped with motion detectors so that no light burns longer than necessary. Opening windows results in automatic shutdown of the heating. Heating with infrared heat: This also works here with electricity. Targeted where you need warmth, it creates a cozy feeling at lower room temperatures than with ordinary convection heaters in an ecological way. Smart water saving: Water-saving toilet flushes have always been installed here. The showers are large and modern, but do not have an oversized water flow. The garden and swimming pond are supplied with large cisterns of rainwater. Swimming pond: A real biotope with crystal clear, natural water! Purified with gravel, reed and bio filters. Nutrients are consumed by the water lilies and underwater plants. Dragonflies, water striders and many insects feel comfortable here. The swallows come several times a day in the summer to dive in and drink water, and from time to time amphibians, toads or a frog feel comfortable here. To the frogs, if you croak very loudly at night, we kindly recommend a nearby body of water where many of your kind are staying... Natural garden: Of course, who would have thought, we generally prefer native plants. The grass around the swimming pond is kept short by an electric robotic lawnmower - during the day, of course, so that nocturnal animals are not endangered. The short grass is important so that you can't come into contact with ticks while dreaming in the meadow. To compensate, however, we also have real meadows, which are traditionally only mowed twice a year and thus provide the bees with a welcome menu. Also untouched hedges, piles of stones and dead wood as a refuge for many small wild animals can be found here. Again and again, the majestic kites and buzzards circle above us, a pair of falcons usually breed in the immediate vicinity in the crowns of tall trees. Even bats feel comfortable with us, sometimes you can see them scurrying by at dusk. Refillable cosmetics: For shower gel and soap, we are always experimenting with different natural products to avoid small disposable plastic bottles. Sodastreamers for sparkling tap water are available in all apartments. Cleaning and washing: With our cleaning agent, we can fertilize the plants after work with the cleaning water. No joke! We also use disinfectants, but only where they are really needed. And then just so they don't damage the sensitive bacteria in our own sewage treatment plant. So that they can continue to do their job for clean wastewater from our holiday complex. Regional products: When packing your welcome box, we prefer regional suppliers, buy in large containers and distribute in small, reusable containers to avoid packaging and to minimize food waste. On site, you will get a tip or two for special, regional delicacies and for regional partners with whom we enjoy working. The breakfast rolls are hung in the reusable cloth bag on your apartment door in the morning. Regional artists always get a podium with us, be it for art exhibitions or small sessions. And new, resource-saving solutions keep being added! Living and working close to nature has indeed always been a matter close to our hearts as a carpenter family with now three grown-up children and a first grandchild, and not only since the climate crisis and rising energy prices have been discussed. But in everyday life, here in the village, where public transport does not arrive, electric vehicles have been moving into our household for several years. And yes, quite honestly, we are quite a bit proud of our vacation homes here in the middle of the Haßberge Nature Park. To the fact that we have been able to offer so many enthusiastic guests such a great time and continue to do so. And that with our work we can strengthen and promote this region, which is still unknown to many.
