Meall Ard (est 2021) is our holiday pod which offers the perfect get away for couples and small families. The Pod is located in South Lochboisdale, on the beautiful Isle of South Uist in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The space The pod can comfortably accommodate 3 adults. It features a deluxe small double bed with hotel quality linen and a sofa bed that folds out in to a small double. Additional facilities include a fully equipped kitchenette with a hob, oven, fridge and microwave, and a toilet and shower. Our pod is handmade from high quality timber, is fully insulated and fitted with luxurious underfloor heating – the perfect way to keep cosy even during the harshest of Scottish winters. In milder weather we have an outside decked picnic area where after a day exploring South Uist you can relax and unwind and enjoy the amazing sunsets looking out towards Lochboisdale Marina. Uist and its adjacent Isle of Eriskay feature in the top locations in Scotland to visit – both famous for their scenery, beaches and landscapes that will be sure to take your breath away. Other things to note Check us out on Instagram and Facebook - southuistpod TRAVEL TO UIST: Caledonian MacBrayne offer two ferry services to the Isle of Uist from: 1. Mallaig to Lochboisdale (approx. 6 miles from the Pod). 2. Uig, the Isle of Skye to Lochmaddy (North Uist) (approx. 42 miles from the Pod). Please visit Calmac website to check availability, book and see Covid-19 travel guidance in line with the Scottish Government guidelines. Additionally, there are daily flights to Benbecula Airport (approx 30 miles from the Pod). Hire cars are also available on the Island. Please book early to avoid disappointment.
