CASA DA ALCARIA is integrated into Herdade do Burrazeiro. It is an independent house, surrounded by pastures in montado of cork oaks and holm oaks. From the porch of the house you can enjoy the tranquility of the landscape of the Alentejo montado. Final cleaning included. Included cleanings with change of clothes every seven days. Extra cleaning can be made on request. Please note that access to the property is done via a dirt road about 2km. It is an independent house, surrounded by pastures of cork oaks and holm oaks. From the porch of the house you can enjoy the tranquillity of the Alentejo countryside. The house comprises: (1) Equipped kitchen with dining area; (2) Bathroom, with separate toilet and shower areas; (3) Bedroom/living room, with a double bed in a private area, two single beds, sofa, TV, desk, games table... (4) Porch equipped with table, chairs and sofas. The beds are made up at the entrance and bath towels and, in the summer, pool towels are also provided. Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. The house has an air conditioning system (heating and cooling), complemented on winter days by the comfort of a wood-burning stove in the living room. The wood is provided for guests. On the day you arrive, you'll have a bread from Alentejo, sheep's and goat's cheeses from a local cheese factory and 6 eggs from our chickens (olive oil and salt are available at the house). Every day we will deliver Alentejo bread (1 offer). More bread and cheese can be ordered the day before. Bread and eggs can be ordered via our online guide. End-of-stay cleaning is included. For stays longer than one week, cleaning with a change of bed linen and towels every seven days is included. Guest access Herdade do Burrazeiro is a 200-hectare estate located in the Alentejo, between Estremoz and Borba, on the edge of the Serra d'Ossa. This is a well-known wine region, where you can visit several renowned wineries. The landscape surrounding Herdade do Burrazeiro is directly related to its agricultural activity, consisting of cork oak and holm oak forests, pastures for extensive cattle breeding and vast expanses of vineyards. The landscape to the south is dominated by the Serra d'Ossa. In addition to the farmland, the Herdade has a swimming pool with a great view for the Alentejo countryside, an orchard where you can pick seasonal fruit, a dam with two kayaks and two stand-up paddle boards, walking and cycling trails (available on site and free to use), a games room (table football, table tennis, darts) and some gym equipment. There are several activities on offer to the occupants of CASA DA ALCARIA: (1) start your day enjoying breakfast on the porch while watching the cork oak forest and the slow grazing of the cattle; (2) take a stroll along the footpaths (or by bicycle) that exist on the Estate and in the surrounding areas; (3) on summer days, cool off with a dip in the blue water of the swimming pool; (4) when you feel hungry, prepare your own meal at home and enjoy it in the tranquillity of the porch or pay a visit to one of the excellent restaurants in the region where delicious Alentejo food is the star; either in its simplest form, or refined with modern creativity; (5) when away from the estate, take the opportunity to make some cultural visits to the region (Vila Viçosa, Borba, Estremoz, Évoramonte ... ); (6) or try a wine tasting at one of the many excellent wineries nearby; (7) in the afternoon enjoy the challenge of a canoe race on the dam (8) or a game of ping-pong; (9) relax in the calm pleasure of a late afternoon watching the wonderful Alentejo sunset; (10) and in the evening curl up on a blanket and be enchanted by the splendor of a starry sky.
