La Moderna is the perfect desert family home, where children of all ages are welcome, and bring your parents too! The home is located 3 blocks from restaurants, coffee shops, groceries, and all major stores. Walk down the street to a great hiking trail, or a short drive to play golf or tennis. Two master suites+bunk room. The space Enjoy the salt water pool and spa as well as beautiful white hardscape around it. Because the house is located in the desert, heating of the pool is not necessary during certain times of the year. We can however heat the pool & spa anytime of the year for an additional $50 per day. If you choose to have both bodies of water heated, the pump can manage to heat the pool during the day, and the jacuzzi in the afternoons/evenings. We welcome families with children. The kids room is filled toys and games, two pack-n-play cribs, and a Lego bin. There are, pool toys and inflatables, a little push car and more. The TV's have Netflix and other streaming services for guests. Just sign in to any account. A retro 1960's clip-on high chair is available in the kids' closet. We even have a shallow shelf in the pool 12 inches deep which is great for toddlers. All children require 100% constant adult supervision in the back yard. This home was originally built in 1957 and recently remodeled to offer more light, space, and scenery for your enjoyment. Old houses were built with lower safety standards. The remodel to this home was done to today's safety standards included new rooms, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, fixtures lighting, plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, roofing, non-toxic paints, insulated walls, and dual pane sliding glass doors and windows, and extensive hardscape and landscape. Guest access The entire property is yours to enjoy, including the salt water pool & spa (yes, a hot tub, but without jets). For $50 per day, the pool will be heated to 82º F (28ºC) and the spa to 100º F (36.5ºC). Two master suites on opposite ends of the house provide privacy with the kitchen, kids' room, guest bath, and great room in between. Try your skills in putting green that is fun for kids and challenging for the most discerning golfer. The garage is the only part of the house that is not accessible to guests. Other things to note MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: 6 FOR A BOOKING OF MORE THAN 4 PEOPLE: $25 per person over the age of 18 per night of booking. We encourage single families with many children, so the fee does not apply to 2 parents who have more than 2 children. MINIMUM AGE TO BOOK: 30 years or older. Identification is required of a “responsible person” who is an occupant at La Moderna who will be legally responsible for ensuring that all occupants and/or their guests comply with all laws, regulations and house rules. OUTDOOR QUIET HOURS OUTDOORS: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am NOISE: No sound amplification devices outside at any time, including speakers, musical instruments, TV, mobile phones. No noise is permitted inside that is audible outside the property. PARKING: No parking on the street from 10:00 pm - 8:00 am, but there is plenty of parking in the driveway. The garage is not available for guest use. PETS: Small pets are welcome for a fee of $10 per night per pet. ENTIRE HOUSE RULES are available upon request and are sent to guests prior to arrival elsewhere, but the above are the most notable. LONG TERM RENTALS: We offer a generous discount for stays of 28 days or more. With this discount, the home is considered a furnished monthly rental unit, as if the tenant were moving in for one month, 6 months, or a year. This means there is no included maid service, or amenities (soap, shampoo, detergents, tissues, minibar, coffee, etc) found in hotels, nightly rental units, or other short term rentals.
