Luxury Thatched Cottage in the South Downs

Escape to the Hampshire countryside and enjoy a stay in our beautiful character home, surrounded by nature and peaceful woodland. Cook family meals on the Aga, relax in the garden, explore the adjoining woods where deer are often spotted, or simply enjoy the slower pace of country life. Perfectly located for discovering some of southern England's most popular destinations, the house is within easy reach of the historic market town of Alresford, Winchester and its famous cathedral, the Watercress Line heritage railway, the New Forest National Park and the beaches of West Wittering. The house is full of period charm, with original beams and character features throughout. Please note that some ceilings are low, so the property may not be suitable for very tall guests. There are three bedrooms accessed by two separate staircases. One staircase, serving Bedrooms 2 and 3, is steep and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility, while the second staircase, serving Bedroom 1, is of a more conventional design. The principal bedroom has its own staircase and ensuite bathroom, while Bedrooms 2 and 3 are accessed via a separate, steeper staircase. The main family bathroom, which serves Bedrooms 2 and 3, is located downstairs. Bedroom 1 has an ensuite. This unusual layout may not suit families with very young children. Whether you're looking for countryside walks, family adventures or a peaceful summer retreat, our home offers a comfortable and memorable base from which to explore Hampshire and beyond.
