La Mazerie: Charming vineyard oasis with pool

This beautiful old vineyard house was built in the 18th century. My parents bought it in 1995 and, with a historical architect and much love, restored it to its original beauty. It has a beautiful covered terrace with sunlight all throughout the day, a big pool with pool house, comfortable lounging areas throughout, an orchard, a bamboo garden, a petanque pit and a charming courtyard. It's the perfect French countryside retreat, in midst the vineyards. Wine tasting is just five mins away! The space Stylish, Provencal living with predominantly antique furniture on 180 sqm over two levels, spacious salon and kitchen, covered south-facing terrace, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, romantic inner courtyard for up to 8 guests (4 x double bedrooms) In the middle of the vineyards, surrounded by a large plot of land with old trees, lies the stone house with an inner courtyard. On the 1st floor covered, large south-facing terrace, salon with ardechois fireplace. The floors are mainly made of old terracotta tiles. Fitted kitchen, bathroom and guest room. On the 2nd floor there are three guest rooms with chestnut parquet, the light-flooded gallery and a shower room. The generously designed, view-protected pool area (12 x 5 m) has a large sunbathing area and a pool house. The pool can be heated out of season, usually between end of April until mid or end of October. La Mazerie has been extensively restored using traditional craft techniques and materials, while preserving the original structures and thick walls inside. This not only creates the special flair of old walls, but also results in a natural room climate and in hot summer it stays pleasantly cool in the house. Guest access Between Provence and the Cevennes, in the southern Ardèche, our holiday home is located in a small hamlet in a quiet location in the middle of the vineyards. The village Rosières, with boulangerie, supermarket, pharmacy, etc. is only five minutes away by car. A carport and a parking lot are available on the property. The surrounding area is ideal for hikes, E-bikes and MTB. Other things to note 1. The pool area is also available to guests of the independent, smaller apartment downstairs. From experience, most of our guests are out during the day for activities in the area, and there tends to be very little overlap in pool usage timings. 2. We have two mountain bikes that are available for rent. They are €60 per person for the week. 3. Please note that bedding and towels are not included. Over the past 10 years, we have found that most guests come by car from their home and prefer supplying their own bedding and towels. However, if you would prefer to arrive with the beds made and towels in place, you are welcome to let us know that you would like to book the laundry service for €15 per person and we will make a small amendment to your booking.
