Mountain meadow location in a secluded rural location You must check-in at the Yosemite Bug Rustic Mountain Resort reception 1/4 mile away 3PM to 11PM before arrival. We are 32 miles from stunning Yosemite Valley here going up the Merced River Wild and Scenic Area to get there. This river is excellent for running, swimming or mountain biking. Mariposa Gold Town is 5 miles away. If you visit Yosemite this summer, you need to know requirements recently announced by the Park Service for Temporary Vehicle Reservations AGAIN this summer from May 20 to September 30. Reservations will be available on Recreation.gov beginning on March 23rd, 2022 at 8AM for all dates through September. Additional passes will be released 7 days prior to arrival at 8AM, too. 30% of all reservations will be held for this. Or arrive into Yosemite's unstaffed gates before 6AM and leave after 4PM daily without a reservation required. There are other options, including using YARTS public transportation who has a stop at the end of our driveway, or utilizing one of the many private tour options, none of which require a personal vehicle. Yosemite Area Regional Transit and Amtrak bus stop is 1/4 mile down Highway 140. You can book seats on YARTS to avoid the Day Pass and Entry Fee.
