Quiet Semi-Secluded Rock Island Retreat

Rock Island Retreat is a great place in the country for folks to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. This property has a four acre lake for canoeing, paddle boating, and swimming. . Our newly remodeled home comfortably sleeps six . The sleeping accommodations include one room with a full bed, one with a queen bed and one room with two twin beds. Towels and linens are provided. We have two full baths; one includes a full sized washer and dryer. You’ll need to bring your own laundry supplies. The upstairs accommodates two bedrooms and has a large living area with books, games, a TV and movies are also provided. We do have Wi-Fi. A small upstairs deck with seating is located off the living area. The kitchen and dining room are open concept and the kitchen is fully equipped, from the coffee maker to the corkscrew. When entering the kitchen from outside you pass through a large and comfortable sun room to enjoy coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening. It also houses the second bathroom. The home has central heat and air along with ceiling fans for year round comfort. A large yard is perfect to relax around the fire pit, cook on the charcoal grill (some charcoal may be supplied), play games, watch for wildlife, and enjoy a star filled sky. We also have a nice pavilion with a half bath. Life jackets and some water toys are stored there. We are centrally located between the Lake of the Ozarks (15 miles), and Jefferson City (18 miles). Redfield Golf Course is only 3 miles from the house. The owners Kerry and Janet and their little dog, Popeye, live just up the hill and will usually be available to meet any needs or answer any questions.
