Château de Ste-Sévère. La Marche Room
Château de Sainte-Sévère
Description
Overlooking the lush green Indre Valley and nestled in the heart of its historic village, the Château offers an escape where time seems to stand still. A place steeped in history and renewal, it combines the tranquillity of Berry with the inspiration and charm of the grand country houses of the past, while offering all essential amenities and a local market every Wednesday morning. Follow in the footsteps of Bertrand du Guesclin, George Sand and Jacques Tati as you explore our historic village. The space It was in the landscapes of Sainte-Sévère that George Sand set the scene for Mauprat, her great novel of chivalry and love. As a tribute, each of our eight rooms is named after a character from the novel. All the rooms are located in the owners’ residence, combining modern comfort with the soul and charm of days gone by. Elegant, like the gentleman after whom it is named, this room with exposed stone walls combines the character of the château’s historic masonry with the comfort and warmth of a true family home. Guest access You can park your car within the estate and will have access to the entire park and esplanade, with the option to use the fire pit and barbecue. During your stay We are (almost) always present at the château. For any information on activities in the area, we will guide you towards the many cultural, natural, and sporting discoveries to be made in this beautiful corner of Berry. Other things to note The château offers two breakfast options, each including a hot drink, fruit juice, yogurt, and bread and butter, with either a sweet or savory selection: pastries and jams, or local cold cuts and cheeses. Each option is priced at €13 per person or €17 per person.
