Our cozy cottage is very secluded but still with easy access. Only 45 km (40 min.) from Reykjavík it´s a perfect hub for day trips to the city and nearby attractions. Rejuvenating, fun and creative environment is what we strive for and we love to share the experience with like-minded travelers. Registration number: HG-00004039 Tugged between beautiful mountains with a great view our cottage is only a few steps away from a beautiful pond, Eyjatjörn, known for its rich bird life. A swan couple that has made Eyjatjörn its habitat are really dear to us and every spring they nest and race 3-4 baby birds. We have a binocular at the cottage for our guest to enjoy the wildlife and scenery around the cottage. We have the best air and tap water in the world. The water in the cottage comes from a private well on the premises. The location is great for exploring the South West area, Þingvellir and the Golden Circle and the South Coast is a great day trip. Or just enjoy sitting on the cottage veranda wrapped in a woolen blanket, with a good book and enjoying the warmth from the fireplace. At Eyjatjörn youll be able to rejuvenate your body and soul within a wifi free zone. The Eyjatjorn cottage is 45 m2 and decorated with great care and is our personal creative outlet. You will find plenty of Icelandic handcrafted stuff to enjoy. Art, design and hand-picked books and music are also for you to savor. The cottages has two bedrooms, a cozy living room, dining area, kitchen, restroom, and an outdoor shower, which we and most of our guest love. The kitchen is well equipped with a big refrigerator and a span cooker. There is also an outside cooking area equipped with gas BBQ. We care about our environment and we keep recycling bins behind the cottage and compost in the vegetable garden for leftover food. All our cleaning products and soaps are environmentally friendly. All. We won’t be on the property but we will be available for anything you need during your stay. No public transportation. We publish maps called HandPicked Iceland, where we hand select places and experiences for travelers. They will be in the cottage for you to use and keep.
