This bright upper apartment is nestled behind a front house and surrounded by green space on all sides, giving it an urban-oasis-feel in the midst of a hopping west side neighborhood. Stay here and experience the ease of a 90 second walk to all of Five Points' trendy cafes, bars, shops, & studios whenever you wish. Owner occupies separate house on the property and is mere steps away if needed. Self check-in/out and free day + nighttime parking on the street. The space The apartment is sunny, 800 sq ft, and comfy, located on the 2nd floor of a 3-story house set back from the street and surrounded by yards on all sides. There is a front door entrance and hallway which is shared with the 1st floor dwelling, but otherwise the apartments are separate. Listing photos will soon be updated to reflect multiple improvements I’ve done on the apartment in my spare time: all drop ceilings have been removed (yay!), bedroom and living room carpets have been updated to wood-like luxury vinyl tile and area rugs, and kitchen flooring has been updated to marble-like luxury vinyl tile. The bathroom was fully renovated in 2019. Heating is furnace forced air, cooling is central AC, both brand new in 2024 and controlled by a thermostat in the living room. Two fans are provided. Surrounding neighborhood is fun and trendy, with a wine and chocolate shop, decadent bakeries, 5 star restaurants, a favorite dive bar, and hip cafes. This is a great place to recoup and unwind. WHO I RENT TO: families, couples, world travelers, interns, students, job seekers, anyone (21+) who’s looking for a comfortable place to call home. SOUND: This is an apartment within a multi-unit, 1930s wood frame building, so it is possible you will hear muffled acoustic noise from the downstairs unit. Weekday and weekend quiet hrs (10 and 11 PM) are in place for everyone in consideration for light sleepers and neighbors who work graveyard shifts. Guest access You will have access to the 2nd floor apartment, which will be yours to use entirely. The house entrance, hallway, and stairwell is shared with the downstairs apartment. You might hear or see other guests come and go, but your apartment doors have deadbolts and are not accessible to any other guests. Other things to note Free street parking is readily available on our street. Parking switches sides at 6 PM Mondays and Thursdays so be sure to check the signs. Workspace: A folding desk and swivel chair are set up in the hallway for those who need a workspace while traveling. The apartment has strong WiFi available. Family-friendly amenities: A Dream On Me portable playard, safety gate, and IKEA- Antilop high chair are stored in the large bedroom closet. The playard is folded up and will need to be set up. Safety latches are available on kitchen and bathroom cabinets that store cleaning products. Please note that the space is not 100% baby-proofed (for example, there are no outlet covers, furniture items have unprotected corners, the safety gate is not to be used outside the apartment at the top of the stairs) so please use your parental judgment.
