Description
A newly built villa of 100 sq m. just above Ioulida (the traditional capital of the island, known as Chora), with stunning views of Chora and the breathtaking blue of the Aegean Sea! It is built in the traditional Tziotiki architecture, with stone-built verandas all around made of local stone and private parking. Set in a 4000 m2 area with oak trees, it offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 6 people. The space The villa has 3 spacious bedrooms with double beds, 1 of which is a master with an exclusive bathroom. All bedrooms have air conditioning, offering ideal living conditions in every season, as well as their own TVs. There is also a spacious living room with a large TV, fireplace, a fully equipped open-plan kitchen (stove, oven, refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, espresso machine, kitchen utensils, etc.) and an internal storage room with a washing machine. The most attractive part of the villa, however, is its exterior. Two verandas with stunning views, featuring two dining rooms and a large bamboo lounge, give you the opportunity to enjoy your breakfast, have lunch and relax, watching the most beautiful Aegean sun, setting behind the mountains of Attica. The house has got large windows and balcony doors with window screens all around. It is cool all day long, due to the almost constant breeze that blows. Most of the time, especially at night, a jacket over your shoulder is necessary when enjoying the outdoor terraces. Guest access The villa is located 8 km from the island's port and 1 km from Ano Ioulida (the traditional capital of the island, known as Chora). In addition, at a distance of about 1 km there is a mini market and a bakery with fresh, handmade products. A supermarket is 6 km away (on the road between the port and the villa). A restaurant is also close to the property, about 1.5 km away. Both the historic church of Agia Anna and the monastery of Episkopi are close to the villa and you can go there on foot. They are both worth visiting. Also Kea has everything a visitor could want. Archaeological sites, such as the Acropolis of Ancient Karthaia, the prehistoric settlement of Agia Irini, the archaeological museum, the ancient lion in Chora and preserved buildings such as the old Town Hall and the old school, designed by the architect Ernest Ziller, which adorns the town. There is also an open-air cinema near the port and mapped trails for hiking all around the island. The architecture of the houses that perfectly matches the nature and environment has made Kea a favorite destination. So, it is no coincidence that Greek politicians, journalists, painters, and even the Queen of Morocco ow a house on the island. Other things to note The magical underwater world: Kea is also considered one of the best diving areas in Greece. It is a huge amusement park for diving enthusiasts thanks to its underwater wealth. The morphology and biodiversity of the seabed as well as the island's role in history, as a site of many shipwrecks, have created a unique setting for explorers and amateur divers alike. The island is surrounded by a series of shipwrecks: from the Titanic's twin sister - the floating hospital Britannic, the French ocean liner Burdigala, the paddle steamer Patris and the German Junkers 52 aircraft from World War II. The bay of Kountouros offers one of the most impressive diving experiences in Greece. The islet of Spanopoula near the northern coast of the island is the ideal location to spot local big fish. There is a diving center on the island where you can find information about diving tourism and organize your personal diving experience. Registration details 00000564170
