Our villa will be constantly and completely disinfected redarding covid-19. The space The villa has got 2 spacious bedrooms with double beds, 1 master bedroom with exclusive bathroom, a spacious living room with a fireplace, and one open kitchen fully equiped (cooker, oven, fridge, toaster, coffee maker, cutlinary, etc). There is also an indoor storage with a washing machine. The most attractive place of villa though is its exterior. Two breathtaking view verandas, give you the opportunity to have your breakfast, dine and relax, watching the most beautiful sun of the Aegean Sea, setting behind the mountains of Attica. The house has got big windows and balcony doors all around. It is cool all day long, because of the almost constant land breeze that blows downhill to the sea or the sea breeze. Most of the times, especially during the night, a jacket on your shoulder is necessary, when you enjoy the open-sky verandas. Guest access The villa is situated 8 kms from the port of the island and 1 km above Ioulida village (the traditional capital of the island, known as Chora). Moreover, almost 1 km away, there is a mini market and a bakery with fresh, hand-made products. A super market is 6 km away, too (on the road between the port and the villa). One restaurant is also near the house, approximately 1,5 km away. Both, the historical Saint Anna church and the monastery of Episkopi are near the villa and you can go there on foot. They are worth visiting. Also Kea has everything a visitor might want. Archaeological sites, such as the Acropolis of Ancient Carthaia, the prehistoric settlement of Agia Irini, the archaeological museum, the Ancient Lion in Chora. Moreover, there are preserved buildings such as the old Town Hall and the old school, designed by the architect Ernst Ziller, which adorn the Chora, a summer cinema near the harbor and mapped trails. The unique architecture of the houses that perfectly matches the nature and the environment have made Kea a favorite destination. Thus, it is not a coincidence that Greek politicians, journalists, painters and the Queen of Morocco have a house on the island. Other things to note The magical underwater world. Kea is also considered as one of the best scuba diving areas in Greece. It is an immense entertainment park for the friends of diving thanks to its underwater wealth. The morphology and the biodiversity of its seabed as well as the island’s role in history, as a location of many shipwrecks, have created a unique scenery for experienced but also amateur divers to explore. The island is surrounded by a series of shipwrecks: from Titanic´s twin sister floating hospital Britannic, to French ocean liner Burdigala, to paddlewheel steamboat Patris and to German Junkers 52 airplane from the WWII. Koundouros reef, a big ledge in Koundouros bay, offers one of the most impressive diving experiences in Greece. Spanopoula islet, close to the northern coast of the island is the ideal location to spot local big fishes. In the island there is a diving center where you may find information about diving tourism and organize your own personal diving experience.
