Description
Staying in a Yurt is pure relaxation! Mull Yurts is on a working croft on the stunning Isle of Mull. Amazing views, lovely walks, incredible sandy beaches to find and explore. Boat trips head off daily to the Puffin isles of Staffa and Lunga. One of Scotland's top tourist attractions - the Isle of Iona and its Abbey is a few miles away. The Yurt is cosy and wood burner warm. Lovely for a couples getaway or a family space surrounded by fields to play in and wild places to explore. The space The yurt comfortably accommodates 4 guests with a double bed and two single chair beds. There is also space on the sofa for another wee one. There's a wardrobe to store clothes and belongings. The yurts are lit by rechargable lanterns - there is a charging lead in the cutlery drawer. These lanterns can also be used as torches to make sure you can find your way to your composting loo at night that is just next to your yurt. A few candles are also provided. There is a two ring gas hob for cooking on, a solar powered fridge is available to keep your food fresh, a hot gas shower in a wooden shed just next to your yurt and a cosy woodburner to keep you warm during the Scottish summer. It is still glamping of course so do remember to bring your wellies and warm clothes. We provide a basket wood in the yurt on arrival and more wood is available in the box just by the yurt door. A contribution of £5 or more for using the extra wood from the box appreciated. Guest access The Yurt and facilities are fenced off in an enclosed corner of a field, on our croft. You can drive across the field and park next to the Yurt. Yurt guests will sometimes share the field with sheep, chickens and our two friendly native ponies. Note we do have a cockerel who likes to make an early morning wake-up call - bring ear plugs if you'd prefer to avoid that full croft experience! Ferries Please book a ferry as soon as you are able as they can book up in peak season. You also need to allow plenty of time to get to Oban because the ferry people may give your place away if you arrive later than the 30 minutes before the ferry departs. Oban has a fine selection of second hand shops and loads of supermarkets if you arrive a bit early! Other things to note Although the yurt is listed as 3 nights minimum we can sometime accommodate guests for 2 nights stay, please email an enquiry and we will do our best to help you out
