Likewise guest does same when bringing up trash or doing laundry. ALSO: Access to apt. is via a sloped path that can be snowy at times, but we shovel it or let the sun melt it within a day. Stay for a month or more in this fully furnished walkout basement apartment/large studio a short walk from popular Aspen Grove shopping center (with an Alamo movie theater) & the Mineral Light Rail Station, making it easy/ inexpensive to get to downtown Denver, arenas & airport. Your accommodations are the sun-filled lower level of a home situated on a half acre on historical Jackass Hill with easy access to the Highline Canal, Platte River & foothills/state parks/hiking, giving guests the best of both the country & the city. (Mountains are about a 2 hour drive & can have heavy weekend traffic.) The apartment itself has its own entrance off a stone patio (accessed via a path down one level from the driveway) & comes complete w/gas wood stove, AC, ROKU TV, WiFi (recently improved), kitchenette w/dishes & small appliances (microwave, toaster oven/air fryer, hot plate, electric skillet, coffee pot, electric kettle, etc.), bathroom, walk-in closet, desk & plenty of storage, plus use of washer & dryer. Your hosts are well-traveled so know what is important in a "home away from home." This "mother-in-law" apartment is perfect for an older student or an intern. NOTE: the bed is a full (not a queen) and we only rent to one person (but allow occasional overnight guests with permission/heads up & have a blowup mattress). Also, we do not allow pets, smoking/vaping, marijuana/illegal drugs & parties. There is a quiet time from 10pm - 8am. NO exceptions to any of these rules. Please don’t ask. Your access to the apartment is down a sloped path which connects to a stone walkway taking you to the stone patio and entrance to the apartment. Note that because of the landscape and materials, the surfaces are irregular. Also, snow and/or ice may accumulate by your parking space and on the path to the apartment (although the sun usually melts it on the path and patio). Therefore, if you have any problems with your balance, we ask that you do not inquire about booking this apartment. (Please look at the last 4 photos and read the descriptions to understand the nature of the access to the apartment before inquiring about staying in this apartment.) We prefer texting whenever we need to communicate, such as when you need to bring up your garbage and recycling to the garage or when we need access to our storage rooms in the basement, which is rarely. Lots of space between houses and great access to everything from the light rail to walking paths and shopping / dining - even a movie theater. Wildlife can be spotted due to the refuge-like nature of the land directly south of the neighborhood. Easy access to freeways and main cross streets, plus we are right by the light rail and a major bus station. Grocery shopping is close by and the house sits equal distance from two major malls. The foothills and mountains are also a short drive away. This is more than a studio apartment - it is laid out so it feels like a one-bedroom. It also has more natural light than most basement apartments. Most guests say it looks so much bigger in person than by looking at the photos.
