A spacious holiday cottage perfect for two or the single traveller. Set in the idyllic and peaceful countryside of North Norfolk just two miles from a sandy beach. Jays Hatch is the perfect rural retreat ideal for exploring North Norfolk up to two *small breed dogs. Nearest beach Walcott other nearby beaches are Mundesley, Cart Gap, Happisburgh and Sea Palling, Waxham and Horsey. There is an excellent cafe, chip shop, convenience store at Walcott and two pubs Poachers Pocket/The Lighthouse The space Jays hatch is a spacious and cosy holiday cottage for one or two adults. We are in the middle of nowhere but close to everywhere. The idyllic countryside setting makes for a peaceful and relaxing break. The sandy beach is just a two mile stroll or 10 minute drive. The perfect visit for any time of year. You will find all your creature comforts and more. A real home from home. Jays Hatch is adjacent to Manor Lodge a fine country house set in two acres of garden. You will have your own private area of garden where you can sit and watch the sun set, picnic or sunbathe. Sunbeds available just ask. A fabulously private location. The cottage is on the ground floor and has a small but well equipped kitchen, comfortable king-size bed and en-suite with a large walk in cubical with rain shower, wash basin and toilet. There is also another separate toilet. Comfortable seating area, TV, dining table and chairs . Facilities heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and broadband included. The owners heated indoor swimming pool is available to hire. A swimming session is for one hour and costs £20. Pool open April to October or by special arrangement with 48 hours notice. Outdoors there is a small private patio with table and chairs and a private garden space which has a wooden bench. Private parking for two cars. We welcome up to two *small breed dogs ie Jack Russell, Yorkshire Terrier, Corgi or miniature Poodle. Sorry no puppies, all dogs must be house trained. No smoking indoors. Guest access A car is essential to visit the wider local area but, cycling and walking routes are close by . You are welcome to bring your own bikes, we can provide safe secure storage for them during your stay. North Walsham Railway Station is 4 miles. Pick up and drop off from the Station can be organised free of charge by prior arrangement. Nearby Bacton Wood (1 mile) is perfect for a day in nature and accessible on foot or cycle. Discover the traditional seaside town of Cromer (12 miles) with its iconic pier, sandy beach, golf in Mundesley and tennis in North Walsham. To the south, seek out the famously red and white striped striped Happisburgh Lighthouse (2.5 miles) or head to the local seal colony at Horsey Beach (11 miles). Wroxham (10 miles) is the gateway to The Broads, and, from here, you can explore this unique area by boat. Other things to note Sorry but, we do not take infants, children.
