A well-equipped kitchen and dining room suitable for seating eight (extendable to ten). Stairs lead up to hallway with access to Master bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite shower room; a further bedroom with two single beds (or one super-king); and a large family bathroom with bath, shower, basin and wc. Mezzanine overlooking the open plan sitting area has a pool table and beds which can be laid to a king sized bed or two singles. A heavy curtain across the balcony allows privacy for guests. Free Wifi with super fast broadband. Laundry facilities include a washing machine and drier. Underfloor heating throughout provided by ground source heat pump. Bus stop for York 5 minutes walk and local pub 2 miles away. Private secure garden with a large table seating 8 -10 guests. A separate decking area hosts the barrel sauna, cold water plunge pool and comfortable seating overlooking paddocks with our sheep and alpaca. Take a stroll through our woods or sit and have a coffee on our deck spotting buzzards, rabbits, deer or hear our tawny owls hooting at night. The village has easy access by bus into York (for attractions such as the famous York Minster, National Railway Museum, the Yorvik Viking Centre, the Yorkshire Chocolate Story, the City Walls and Racecourse) or the nearby Georgian town of Easingwold. The barn is ideally situated for access to the beautiful North Yorkshire Moors and other attractions such as Castle Howard, Eden Camp, the Yorkshire Air Museum, Ampleforth Abbey and School and the seaside towns of Scarborough and Whitby. Village shops, both community owned, are located in the nearby villages of Huby and Stillington. Guest access Guests have access to the whole barn. We are available for help if required. The property is accessed through security gates and the garden of the barn is enclosed, and so is the extended garden. Guests are welcome to stroll around our private 7 acre wood and you may spot buzzards, deer, rabbits and hear owls at night. Sheep and our alpaca, BeeBee, graze the paddocks to the front of the barn Other things to note The Barn is very private and has loads of space around it to kick a football and to play table tennis or do yoga. We sell eggs during laying season February to November and we sell our own Honey from 5 hives so do ask if you would like to purchase these.
