Richard Villa is an experiment in creativity. Our 60 year old heritage home in Madurai was cherished by four generations of our family. Once home to a family member who served as a Collector of Madras during the British Raj, the villa blends years of history with modern comfort. The house has 7 bedrooms, but the entire ground floor (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms) is listed. A large courtyard in front, Wi-Fi, modern kitchen, air conditioning, and parking- it’s an ideal retreat for travelling families. The space Richard Villa is a large family house with 7 bedrooms. Upgraded to international standards, it is perfect for a large family of guests travelling together, seeking quiet comfort and the luxury of a minimalist lifestyle. The villa is in an exclusive private road called Richard Avenue, just a few feet off the main bypass road. Its incredible location allows for easy access, yet enjoying quiet solitude in the “busy-ness” of the city of Madurai. Carefully curated comfort, which my wife and I have slowly refined over time with ideas from our journeys across the world, we intend to transform this Villa into a unique boutique homestay, quite unlike anything else you may have ever stayed in or experienced. As we gradually curate and upgrade, you can enjoy a fully complete version of it in Kodaikanal- in Bell Villa, another favourite among our guests (listed in Top 10% of Kodaikanal AirBnB properties). With a large courtyard in front, Wi-Fi, fully equipped kitchen, large dining and living room with double air conditioning, and convenient parking for 4 cars, it's an ideal resting point for international Indian families making a stop in Madurai enroute to various destinations across Tamil Nadu and the rest of the country. Guest access Guests will be given a key to the house by Mr Arun, the property manager whose office is in a separate office at the entrance of the villa. Other things to note Perfect location on the bypass road, just opposite to the renown Fatima College, Richard Villa is an amazing choice for families. The property is ideal for upto 8 adults and a few small children. Please note that the property is non smoking. South Indian breakfast (complementary) can be ordered, cooked by our in house maid Padma. She can also make complementary beverages like coffee and tea as requested by guests.
