Fast Starlink internet, 5 bedrooms, and huge modern kitchen-living room this is the ideal setting for a family reunion or midweek remote working/team building. The space The Pumphouse is an isolated 'get back to nature' type place. On the track down from the village you may see roe or fallow deer, muntjac, hares and herons, and once at the property you will have the company of owls in their box on the oak tree, and swans on the river's edge. Not suitable for those who are not into nature or at all squeemish about bugs!!! Outside there is the deck and bbq, and then just nature - the river bank with beautiful walks, and the nature reserve teeming with birds. The Pumphouse is ideal for nature lovers. Located in a corner of the Wissey Valley Living Landscape Wetland Reserve, The Pumphouse is perfectly situated for bird watching, with numerous indigenous and migratory bird species literally 100m away. Inside, the design is industrial and contemporary, incorporating concrete, wood and brick, providing a comfortable easy to use living or working space - hot tub, big screen smart TV, huge kitchen, and comfortable en-suite bedrooms. Ideal for work-cation stays - whether digital nomads, working away from home, or team building events! Fully furnished for extended and weekday stays at reduced rates - all welcome! The Pumphouse runs on a carbon free ground source heat pump - this provides economic heating and hot water throughout the year. Heat pumps work - don't believe what you read in the press! Please ask us if you want details. Accommodation: Ground floor: open plan living room with dining table for up to 14 people, and large well equipped open plan kitchen. Sony sound bar and wood burning stove. French doors lead to the external deck and bbq. Bedroom 1 with king size bed, and en-suite shower room. Separate cloakroom. Entrance hall with coat rack and stairs to upper floors. Hot tub room with views to wilderness garden. First Floor: Bedrooms 2 and 3 – both with king size beds, en-suite shower rooms and separate W.C.’s Second floor: Bedrooms 4 and 5 – each bedroom has two standard single beds, and a day bed with two additional pull-out bunks, giving sleeping accommodation for between 2 and 4 people per room. Bathroom with free standing roll top bath, W.C. and basin. The Pumphouse is prepared for up to 10 guests at the standard nightly rate. For parties of more than 10, up to the 14 limit, we charge an additional fee per person per night. Guests are required to confirm numbers when booking so that the correct number of beds and linen can be provided, and that the correct fee may be charged. Guest access You have access to all areas - make yourselves at home, but please treat our house as you would treat your own..... Other things to note No events or parties are permitted at the Pumphouse. The Pumphouse is accessed via a long and very bumpy farm track which is not suitable for sports cars, and all vehicles must be driven slowly to avoid personal injury or damage. Guests are advised that the Pumphouse has steps and changes of level which are non-standard and do not comply with current building regulations. Guests must tell us how many guests are staying at the Pumphouse. Bedding, linen and towels are provided for the number stated in the booking. There is a hot tub which needs to be used in accordance with the instructions shown clearly at the property. Note the instructions for safe use of the spa, and be careful on the river bank, especially if you have young children - they are your responsibility not ours. We allow guests to bring up to 2 small-medium sized dogs by prior agreement. There is a fixed additional charge of £50 for up to two dogs. We ask that all dogs stay downstairs and do not go on furniture, and that the owners remove any dog poo from the garden upon departure. We insist that guests do not use plastic confetti at our property. It is non-biodegradable and will remain as a pollutant in our ecosystem for centuries. If guests are found to have used it we will charge additionally for cleaning it up.
