Soco - Secluded 2 Bedroom Studio

This remodeled upstairs studio is walking distance to everything downtown and in the South Congress (SoCo) district. Experience Austin by staying in this wonderful old neighborhood, which is close to live music, food, culture, history and recreation. The light filled 2-bedroom studio is upstairs in my home. With off-street parking and a private exterior entrance it is the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Austin. Gaze out to the two majestic 200-year old oak trees or enjoy yourself by sitting out in the shady backyard patio. A stroll 3 blocks west takes you to lively South Congress Avenue filled with fantastic restaurants, cafes, boutiques, and music venues. The house has a beautiful shaded pool for a dip or lounging but if you are a swimmer Big Stacy Park and pool is a short walk away with its year round pool which is fed by natural hot springs in the winter months. The park also has over 3 acres of walking trails. Additional swimming and recreation is but a short drive away at Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. If you are a runner or walker Lady Bird Lake trail is just a couple of blocks away for a jog or walk, and is home to Austin's famous Congress Avenue bat colony. The entertaining Second, Warehouse, and Sixth Street districts downtown are a 3-minute bus/cab ride or a 15 minute walk. Also close by are Auditorium Shores, the Convention Center, Whole Foods Market, the Long Performing Arts Center, the Capitol and much more. The studio has two private bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with a full size. It does not have a kitchen although a small refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, toaster and microwave are provided for convenience or take the beautiful five minute walk up to Jo’s Coffee shop or the numerous South Congress restaurants for wonderful breakfast, lunch or dinner. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE POOL IS ONLY FOR GUESTS STAYING IN THE STUDIO. Austin Bergstrom Intl. airport is only 20 minutes away ($30 cab ride).
