This fully furnished duplex offers a comfortable home away from home-- perfect for slowing down, reconnecting, and enjoying the peace of the countryside. Celebrating anything special? Please let us know! The space This property is located near I-35, a main highway which makes trips to the city feel like a breeze. Because of this great location, you will hear some regular road noise while outside. However, the property is surrounded by beautiful trees, making it easy to sit out on the porch, spot local birds, and enjoy a bit of nature right after your city adventures. You may even spot our chicken coop in the distance! *Please note there are 3 chickens on the property that stay in their designated area throughout your stay.* Keep an eye out inside too—you might spot some fun, local Whataburger merch on the property to give you that authentic Texas welcome! There is one master bedroom with a king-size bed, but there is also an air mattress available, which comfortably sleeps 1-2 people. This full-size air mattress has a built-in electric pump making it quick and easy to inflate. If bringing a pet, please be mindful of the sticker burrs on the property. We are working hard to get rid of these, but it is a process. In the meantime, consider taking your pet to our designated turf area for potty breaks to help keep your animals' paws free of these thorns. The road near our home also provides a great walking space or restroom area for your animal. Please keep your animal on a leash at all times when outdoors. Please, also be sure to collect your animals' waste to maintain proper community hygiene. Lastly, our fun and unique cornhole boards can be set up for you upon request! Be sure to let me know if you would like those laid out before your arrival. If any rain occurs during your stay, you will be responsible with moving the set indoors to preserve the wood/finishing. Guest access Guests are able to enjoy their own private deck, cornhole with the family, and a fire pit. Other things to note Please be mindful of the "sharing space" of the duplex. There will more than likely be guests on the other side of the main wall/property, so be sure to be considerate of their stay too.
