The house has 3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, wifi, Chromecast, barbecue and wood stove. Electricity and firewood are included, and check-in is easy with a code lock and parking right at the door. The space Welcome to a charming farmhouse in quiet surroundings on Valdresbråten, approx. 500 meters above sea level. Here you live rural and peaceful, but with a short distance to both the city center, the mountains and many exciting experiences. 🛏️ About the house The house has three bedrooms – one with a double bed and two with bunk beds (one bedroom has access via the bathroom). One bunk bed can easily be divided into two single beds on the floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need: dishwasher, stove, microwave, fridge/freezer and coffee maker. In the living room you will find wifi, TV with Chromecast and a cozy wood burning stove – perfect for ending the day with a fire in the fireplace and peace of mind. Outside you will find two sunny verandas, a cool grill and a swing set for the children. Bicycles can be locked in the shed and there is the possibility of washing. Electricity and firewood are included in the rent, and you can drive all the way to the door. Check-in is easy via code lock. 🌿 Experiences right outside the door The gravel road below the house is little trafficked and is perfect for a quiet walk or jog. For a small tour you can follow Espesetveien to the top and follow the trail back to the house. About 15 minutes walk away is Bakkeberget, a small viewpoint with a great view of the valley. Espesetstien is a nice trail to walk to the city center (about 30 minutes down). In winter, the grounds around the house are fine for sledding and skiing. 🎿 Winter in Nesbyen In 15 minutes you reach Nesfjellet Alpin, a modern ski resort with six lifts, 14 slopes, ski rental and café. In the same area you will find almost 400 km of prepared cross-country trails, including the popular Yellow Round from Nystølkroken Café. If you want to try something new, you can go dog sledding at Langedrag or take a relaxing day at Tropicana Water Park in Gol (30 min away). ☀️ Summer and autumn In summer, Nesbyen offers a sea of hiking opportunities – from short family trips to airy top tours with spectacular views. Sjåfunatten, Kvasshovda and Trommenatten give a real mountain feeling without being demanding. Dyna is a slightly longer mountain hike to a fantastic viewpoint. Trytetjern (20 min away) has a swimming area, playgrounds, zipline, sand volleyball court and barbecue facilities. If you love cycling, you have come to the right place: Espesetstien starts a few hundred meters from the house and goes all the way down to the city center. HallingSpranget – one of Europe's longest flow trails – starts at the top of Nesfjellet. Bicycle bus runs from the city center (if you have an electric bike you can also cycle from the house). Trailhead Nesbyen offers shuttling in the trails east of the city center. Bike rental can be found in Nesbyen city center. Feel free to ask the host for tips. Golf enthusiasts can visit Nesfjellet Golf, a great 9-hole course with a café and restaurant. There are also many good fishing waters and rivers in the area, and you can borrow a rowboat at Skålsrudstølvannet free of charge (contact the host for an appointment). 🐾 Excursions and family activities Langedrag Nature Park (approx. 30 min) – meet wolves, lynx, moose and arctic foxes. Bjørneparken (about 40 min) – exciting experiences for the children with bears, foxes, crocodiles and playground. Tropicana Water Park (approx. 30 min) – indoor water park in Gol with tropical temperatures all year round. Packs of bed linen, sheets and towels can be rented for NOK 140/set if desired, or brought (contact the host if you wish to rent). All duvets are 220x140cm year-round duvets.
