Escape to your own peaceful Grand River retreat. This cozy 2-bedroom waterfront home is make for slow mornings, sunset drinks and time spent outdoors. Relax on the two-tier deck, unwind in the large screened gazebo, gather around the waterside firepit or simply watch the river drift by from the dock. Inside, enjoy warm, comfortable space with a gas fireplace and everything you need to settle in. A quiet getway that feels worlds away without going to far. Fish right from the private dock. Guest access Guests have private access to the cottage, screened gazebo, deck, designated parking area, waterfront, fire-pit area and seasonal dock when installed. A small number of locked cupboards/storage areas are reserved for owner supplies and are not available for guest use. The shed is private for owner use only - not available for guest use. Any watercraft located on the property are privately owned and are not included with the rental unless specifically stated otherwise in your reservation. Other things to note Our cottage is a rural waterfront property located directly on the Grand River. As with any natural waterway, river levels, depth and current can change depending on weather and upstream conditions. The floating dock is installed for the summer season. Dock availability is not guaranteed outside the summer months. The home is supplied with delivered potable water stored in a cistern and uses a holding-tank system. Reasonable water conservation is appreciated. As part of the rural waterfront setting, guests may encounter seasonal insects, spiders and wildlife. While the property is cleaned and maintained regularly, these are a normal part of country and waterfront living. There is an active agricultural field across the road from the property. Normal farming activities occur seasonally and may include planting, harvesting and the application of manure or fertilizer. At certain times this may temporarily result in agricultural odours. Exterior property maintenance, including lawn cutting, may occasionally be required during a guest stay. We make reasonable efforts to minimize any disruption.
