The space Welcome to our family's peaceful cottage on beautiful Round Lake. Nestled on 5 private wooded acres, it's the perfect place to unplug, reconnect, and enjoy the outdoors. The cottage comfortably accommodates families with two queen bedrooms and a third bedroom featuring two sets of bunk beds. Spend your days swimming from the dock, fishing, paddling the canoe or kayaks, or relaxing on the large covered deck overlooking the lake. Whether you're looking for adventure or simply a quiet place to unwind, we hope you'll feel right at home. Guest access Guests have exclusive use of the cottage, parking area, dock, and outdoor living spaces during their stay. The canoe, kayaks, and lifejackets are available for your enjoyment. Please note that the laundry room is not available to guests. Access to the waterfront is via a fairly steep path, and the shoreline is natural Canadian Shield granite rather than sand. The swimming is excellent, but the rocks can be slippery when wet and may not be suitable for guests with mobility challenges. Other things to note This is our family cottage, and we ask guests to treat it with the same care and respect they would their own home. It is best suited to families and guests looking for a peaceful lakeside getaway rather than parties or large gatherings. The lower-level bathroom is functional but unfinished, with a toilet, sink and shower in a rustic space enclosed by a privacy curtain. The cottage is supplied by a well and septic system, so only toilet paper should be flushed. Please note that guests need to bring their own bedding, pillowcases and towels. Pillows and mattress protectors are provided. Guests may use the outdoor fire pit after 6:00 p.m., provided current local fire conditions permit. Fires must remain contained within the fire pit and be attended by an adult at all times. Please extinguish with the hose before going inside. Exterior security cameras monitor the driveway and dock area to help protect the property and watercraft. There are no cameras inside the cottage. Fall stays: The dock and waterfront equipment are seasonal. We expect to remove the dock in late September or October, depending on weather and conditions.
