The space To help you escape even more, our guests have free access to Cascades Spa all day every day of their stay: The Spa is 15 mins drive away . opening times: mon-fri 07.00-21.30 sat & sun 08.00-19.30 includes: jacuzzi/ hot tub, heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room table tennis, squash, tennis and gym (note children under 14 years are permitted to use the swimming pool ,table tennis and tennis court only) Children must be 15 or over to use the gym. DOGS are most welcome. If you intend to use the Spa and leave your dog at Fell View you MUST be sure the dog/s will not become distressed, howl and bark. This is upsetting for our neighbours to listen to. Please take your dogs with you if they don't like being left . Please read our rules regarding dogs. For anyone looking for a break away from the office, we are an ideal property for remote working and Workcation breaks. Fell View is a beautiful two bedroomed cottage that sleeps 4.King and super king beds are available. Fell View is set in the delightful village of Allithwaite, near Grange over Sands (2 miles away) and the medieval village of Cartmel (1 mile away) which is ideal for couples and families alike wanting to explore the Lakes District. The village is small. It has an award winning pub /restaurant within walking distance, that serves excellent food, with a great friendly welcoming atmosphere. When you arrive at Fell View you can unload on the drive as we have safe off road parking for 2 cars. Then into the hall with downstairs WC and separate cloaks cupboard for walking boots and coats. Then walk straight into the cosy lounge area with glorious gas burning stove ; light the fire, sink into the comfy, deep cushioned sofa and settle down to watch your favourite series with Netflix on the TV and make yourself at home! (you need your own log in) What could be better that curling up on our leather sofa with a book or enjoying the sunshine on our patio with a glass of wine or simply chatting round our dining table? Fell View is made to make the most of your precious time together. Cartmel, the foodie village, is just one mile from Fell View Cottage and is famous for its sticky toffee pudding and racecourse with popular meets being held between May and the end of August. 2 miles away is the peaceful seaside resort of Grange over Sands with its mild climate, fabulous prom and wonderful shops. Haverthwaite 15 mins away has the scenic Lakeside and Haverthwaite Steam Railway - a wonderful leisurely way of soaking up the glorious scenery. Also within easy reach for a day trip out is the home of Beatrix Potter, Hill Top; the picturesque village of Sawrey sitting on the shores of Esthwaite Water; and Lakeside with its popular aquarium, steamer lake cruises (travel by paddle power to Ambleside or Bowness), and train station (connecting with Newby Bridge and Haverthwaite) - just a few of the areas many attractions. UPSTAIRS BEDROOM 1 ...... Upstairs is the piece de resistance, a master Super King size bedroom , which is a glorious, light bright space for two , complete with a TV . The super king bed can be configured for a super king bed or 2 singles. The view from the window is of the coast and fells. This is a large spacious bedroom with plenty of storage. BEDROOM 2...In our second bedroom there is king size bed again with designer furnishings and Egyptian cotton sheets. NEW Large Walk in shower room . installed 2022 DOWNSTAIRS Whilst downstairs in our spacious lounge we have a large flat screen Smart TV(you need your own log in for Netflix etc) There is a dvd player, board games,books etc. everything you could possibly need after a hard days sightseeing in the Lakes. We have Wi Fi available free of charge. KITCHEN .. with electric hob and oven. Very well equipped Toilet and cloakroom PARKING .......We have off road parking for two cars, in a garage and on a drive. If 2 cars , one must be parked in garage( dimensions of garage approx 15 foot long by 9 foot 6 inch wide, door opening 82 inches) More parking is available nearby, once booked please contact us and we can tell you where to park. The village pub, which is minutes away on foot, serves terrific home cooked food by roaring log fires, free tennis court, large playing field, bike pump track, very well stocked village shop, and children's playground too. The village has everything you could possibly need. Nearby is Cartmel :- historic Priory, antique and craft shops, traditional pubs, cafes and Michelin starred L'Enclume restaurant. BABIES and toddlers are most welcome:- we have a high chair, booster chair, travel cot, stair gate , baby bowls and plates at no extra charge. For children a selection of books ,toys, games provided. In fact there's a toy box full of games,quizzes, books etc. Guaranteed to keep any youngster happy and our garden is safe and secure for your children to enjoy. Our delightful cottage GARDEN is a place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.. We are away from main roads and you are sure to enjoy the peace and quiet of this area.
