The space Casita Estrella ⭐ Casita Estrella is one of our most spacious and special cabins in Laguna Sierra. Its A-Frame architecture, high wooden ceilings, stone details and large front window create a true mountain retreat atmosphere: warm, cozy and surrounded by nature. It is designed to enjoy both its indoor and outdoor spaces, whether relaxing in front of the fireplace, preparing a family dinner, having coffee among the mountains, or ending the day around the fire pit under the stars. It's ideal for couples, families or small groups of up to 6 guests looking for a comfortable, private mountain experience with spaces to spend time together. Cabin interior The ground floor has a spacious double-height room that integrates the living room, kitchen, and dining room, preserving the rustic character of an authentic mountain cabin, but with comfortable and functional spaces. Warm, private and welcoming environment The Alpine-style loft is one of the most characteristic spaces in Cabaña Estrella. There you'll find the queen size bed and two individual daybed-style spaces, creating a particularly pleasant area for resting after a day of exploring the mountains. The single beds have mattresses and are a practical alternative for sleeping. During the day, they also function as benches for resting or enjoying the space. Downstairs, the sofa can be converted into a double bed to accommodate two additional guests. Important: For groups of 5 or 6 people, we recommend considering that part of the accommodation capacity corresponds to the sofa bed and the daybeds in the loft, and not to traditional beds. Outside you will also find a private fire pit, creating two different environments to enjoy the fire and the mountains. For safety reasons, please use both with caution and never light a fire outside the designated areas. * Drought conditions or orders from the authorities may result in temporary restrictions on the use of outdoor fires. Connectivity We have WiFi of approximately 10 Mbps, enough for messaging, basic browsing, light streaming, and simple work. However, remember that we are in a mountain area. Service speed and availability may vary due to weather, power outages, or local infrastructure conditions. There is no cell phone signal in the area. Location Cabaña Estrella is located within Laguna Sierra, approximately 10 minutes from the community of Laguna de Sánchez, in Santiago, Nuevo León, within Cumbres de Monterrey National Park. The ideal way to get there is in your own vehicle. There is also public transportation from Plaza del Cercado, in Santiago, N.L.; however, we recommend checking routes and schedules in advance, as they may change. After the El Manzano area, there is no cell phone signal. For this reason, it is very important to download the check-in instructions, maps, and any information you may need during the trip in advance. Important: You are traveling to the mountains ⛰️ Laguna Sierra is located in a rural and natural setting. This is precisely part of what makes the experience special, but it means that you won't find the same conditions as in urban accommodations. We ask that you support us by following simple principles: Do not light campfires outside designated areas No littering Do not leave waste in the cabin or outdoors Preferably walk on existing trails Respect the flora and fauna Avoid loud music Respect the tranquility of other guests and local residents Do not cut trees or collect plants Take your waste with you at the end of your stay In this area, we don't have regular garbage collection service like in the city, so we ask our guests to help us by taking their trash with them. You will be surrounded by trees, vegetation and fauna typical of the region. Depending on the season, it is possible to find insects and other small animals typical of a natural environment. Cellular signal may be limited. The Wi-Fi may experience variations. Weather conditions can change quickly. Access is via the mountain and may change after heavy rains.
