Bäcken, a small boating village near Trosa

Welcome to the boatman's cottage Bäcken, which dates back to the 18th century. Renovated in an old style, open plan, enclosed patio, bedroom on the upper floor for four people. The cottage is surrounded by a large fenced garden with several patios. Sleeping cabin on the property with room for two people. The proximity to Vagnhärad, Trosa and the coast offers beautiful nature, swimming, shopping, golf courses, restaurants and sights. Good transportation to Stockholm and southward. Perfect for relaxing and family life. The space Sheets/bed linens and towels are not included. The guest does the final cleaning upon checkout. Cleaning is not offered. The cabin Level 1 -The entrance leads into a hall and further into the dining area and kitchen. The hall has a tiled floor and has three closets: a cleaning closet with iron and ironing board, a closet with various household appliances, electric whisk, blender, various coffee machines and Airfryer, etc., and a closet for clothes. - The bathroom is fully tiled and has underfloor heating. There is a washbasin with a vanity unit, hair dryer/hair straightener, soap, shampoo, shower cabin, toilet, and electrical outlet. The washing machine is closed due to limited water supply. - The dining area has a large window with a round table that seats four people. If you want to make the table bigger, there are extension leaves in the sleeping cabin. The dining area transitions into the kitchen and living room, open plan. - The left side of the kitchen has a countertop with an electric kettle and SodaStream, drawers for dishes, and a full-height refrigerator. Spice drawer with some flour and sugar, and a baking tray. Microwave and quick mini oven. To start, set the power mode and temperature, and then press START. The right side consists of a Trinett stove with three burners, a pot cabinet, a stainless steel sink with a dish rack, and a cabinet. The oven in the range is out of order but serves as a pot cabinet. Drawer with spices that are free to use. Cupboard for groceries, toaster, Presso and Melitta. Cupboard for serving bowls and dishwashing tubs. Drawers for cutlery and knives. Wall cabinet for everyday dishes. More dishes and wine glasses, etc., are in the dish cabinet in the living room (be sure to keep track of the keys to the cabinets; there are no duplicates). We would be grateful if you could return the porcelain to the cabinet you took it from. - Living room. Has an old fireplace with a hood and a Kedddy firebox. We advise against lighting a fire as smoke can easily enter the house if you are not used to making fires. Rocking chair, sofa, table, armchair, pull-out sofa, china cabinet and TV, as well as access to the patio and stairs to the upper floor. - Glass-enclosed terrace. The terrace covers about 10 sqm. A dining table with space for six people and a sideboard. Level 2. - Bedroom 1. Makes up most of the upper floor. Double bed with nightstand, mirrored dresser with chair, a freestanding wardrobe, table, armchair and chest with bedding. TV corner for personal TV connection (e.g. bring a Chromecast or the like), table and sofa, and desk with an office chair. - Bedroom 2. Separated by a sliding door. Sloping ceiling. Two twin beds with a nightstand and a chest of drawers with some toys, as well as a dresser. To the left is a closet that also houses the water heater. Drawers and cabinets marked with a red dot are private and not available for the guest. Bedroom / Attic Bedroom 3. There is a window on the gable facing north. The door is an old "stable door," so you can keep the upper part open on hot days. There are two single beds, a wardrobe, a table, an armchair, a dresser with a mirror and a hat shelf. There is a bookshelf with games and toys for the children. In the shed, there is also an extra fridge with a freezer compartment and an oven. These can be connected to wall outlets if needed. NOTE: They should not be connected when not in use. Welcome to Bäcken Guest access - Drawers and cabinets marked with a red dot are private. - Materials that are "accessible" may be used by the guest. We ask that you make an effort to return materials, such as porcelain, to their original locations. - Kitchen towels for drying dishes are in the closet in the hallway. Other things to note The cabin has a private well, not municipal water. Therefore, we ask you to be economical with water. Do dishes in basins, not under running water, and take short showers. The water heater may need to be turned on (1 kW) / off. Hot water is heated in a couple of hours. The bathroom has underfloor heating that is controlled by a thermostat in the hallway. When guests are in the cottage, it should be set to 27 degrees (otherwise about 15 degrees). The sewage system has biological treatment. Only flush things that are intended for the toilet, as well as toilet paper. The air-source heat pump is set to 22 degrees. It should only be used for heating - not cooling. If you find it too hot or "windy," turn off the air heat pump on the unit. Open windows for ventilation.
