Guests describe it as a wow moment, the kind you don't expect from a homestay. The lawn is real grass, open and unhurried. Kids gravitate to the fish pond. Others just walk barefoot. It's something city life doesn't leave much room for. There's a mango tree with a stone seat around its base. City guests, especially mothers, find it and don't leave. One said she'd spent her whole life wishing for a home with a lawn like this. After dark, warm garden lighting takes over. The carrom table comes out. The evening stretches. BEDROOM & BATHROOM: One large bedroom with a queen bed, opening directly onto a large private balcony. Morning chai out here is not optional, it's a ritual you'll thank yourself for. The Dhauladhar range is right there, unobstructed. It holds your attention longer than planned. The bathroom is spacious with a proper shower, hot water geyser, and complimentary hand wash, body wash, and shampoo. LIVING AREA: The drawing room has a sofa-cum-bed and a 43" Smart TV. The unit sleeps up to 4. The TV isn't connected to cable. Guests can sign in with their own OTT accounts, to stream over WiFi. Wind down with a movie, a board game, or just let the evening do its thing. THE VIEW: The shared open terrace gives a full 360° panorama: Dhauladhar range, Moonpeak, Triund, Dharamkot, Naddi, the Kangra valley, and the HPCA cricket stadium. Everything inside, the bedroom, bathroom, drawing room, kitchen, and private balcony, is EXCLUSIVELY yours. The lawn, garden, fish pond area, open terrace, and driveway are shared between guests staying on the property. The carrom table and table tennis are also shared and available to all guests. The ground floor is our private residence. NO CARETAKER ON SITE. The unit is handed over clean and fully set up before every check-in. We are reachable through the app if anything comes up. During your stay We live on the ground floor but step out during the day. We're reachable through the app anytime and on call for anything urgent at the property. All cooking is induction-based — there is no gas connection on the premises. In the rare event of an extended power outage, cooking may not be possible temporarily. SERVICES ON REQUEST A cook can be arranged with advance notice, subject to availability, for an additional fee. There's no caretaker on-site by default, but extra housekeeping or caretaker support can be arranged too. Cost depends on what's needed, so just message us to discuss. INTERNET & POWER High-speed internet up to 100 Mbps. We cannot guarantee uptime in case of a service outage. Dharamshala has reliable city electricity. Power backup via inverter for lights and fans. In the rare case of an extended outage, backup may have limitations. ACCESSIBILITY First floor, staircase only. Not wheelchair accessible. No lift. SAFETY & VALUABLES Dharamshala is generally a safe town. We recommend keeping valuables secure — hosts are not responsible for loss of personal belongings. All common exterior areas are covered by security cameras. No cameras inside rooms or on the terrace. LONG-TERM STAYS Open to long-term rentals, particularly during the off-season. Both units can be booked together for larger groups wishing to take the entire floor. Summer views are green and clear — different, but equally worth looking at. DECOR & FURNITURE The unit has been put together with care. Please treat the space accordingly.
